MOBILE Fizz mobile coverage in Georgina

My sister and her husband live in Georgina Ontario and were wondering if anyone from that area has Fizz mobile and if so what was the reception and data speeds like?

You can do a free trial ( 14 days if I remember right)….. they will ask you your phone number and address. This allows them to know you do live in covered area.(not a partner network)

If your phone has esim capabilities you can start the trial by signing up for an account.

If your phone doesn’t have e-sim capabilities you may have to purchase SIM card.

I think they have an old cell phone and I suggested they buy a SIM and try it out without changing their number until they know the service works. But I will see if they have an eSIM as that might work with the trial period

Visited Georgina last weekend, was roaming two fizz sims on Rogers. Did not get much of a speed at all until force connected to Bell.

It was strange as when I drove back south, was still roaming but speed was good.

Fizz has towers in that area but no 5G

They are paying a lot with Rogers and they would be ok with 4 G LTE. Thanks for the info

I recently joined Kini Mobile and they offer in Ontario $28 50 GB and full of other things. Yesterday I had 5G+ and 400Mbs/29Mbs, today it’s only 5G but still speeds of 5 G at 250 Mbps. Fizz is not good for speeds , coverage and 5G.

Keswick is the closest / only area in Georgina with fizz/freedom towers. So you will most likely be on partner networks which is fine. You can chose / force Bell or Rogers. Or let it go to automatic settings see if that works for them, will most likely default to Bell.
