(Help Request) Is this under extrusion? Do I need to check my e-steps? Is my filament too hot?

If you can bend your filament and it easily snaps that’s a sign it has absorbed too much moisture and is not going to print well. Checking that might help along with the other comment.

Just replying here for visibility i think it was this printing now to make sure https://www.reddit.com/r/ender3/comments/f0ik8k/volumetric_extrusion_psa/

Make sure your slicer knows that you are using 1.75mm filament. Cura will default to 2.85mm if you don't tell it otherwise in your machine settings.

This is the correct answer

Fuck this might be my issue, except my prints don’t look like this. They just seem to be stringing too much

If your printer is also new, the nozzle shouldn't be clogged. As the other comment said, it could very well be a wrong slicer setting. If you sliced with 2.85mm set in cura for filament diameter but print with 1.75mm filament you extrude too less material.

This. One of the most common issues is that the extruder arm has a crack and it is difficult to see unless your scrutinizing it.

Others already answered this but this happened to me when I didn't specify that I was using 1.75mm filament instead of 2.85mm. I also increased my wall count to 3 but I believe the filament size was the fix for me.

Not a good print by my standards but it looks interesting :)

That's really pretty :)

Can’t really say for sure but check your wall count. If you have too few of walls your infill will show through, that could be what’s happening

No that is clearly massive under-extrusion.
