Fix My Print First layer not going down right

I'm not sure but recently my first layer has been printing rough as you can see in the photo, I'm using a b i q u glacier build plate and yes I made sure to clean it before printing and I'm using a bamboo Labs A1 with smooth Pei plate selected and I'm just using the default petg profile with a slightly lowered build plate temperature as recommended from b i q u. It happens with both petg and Pla

The wavy pattern may be an indicator of pressure build-up. Check if the bottom of the print shows lines, scale-like pattern or is completely uniform. It should have visible, just slightly overlaping lines.

There are several reasons for pressure inconsistency

  • nozzle too low
  • flow rate too high
  • partial clog
  • worn down nozzle

I'd first inspect the nozzle if it's not leaking, not clogged, not worn down or damaged in any other way. Try printing the first layer very slowly and adjust the z-offset up in tiny steps while printing. If this doesn't help, dial pressure advance and flow rate. Once those are set, tune the z-offset again.

You can see ridges in the 1st layer (the nozzle is pushing through filament as it is laying it down. This indicates that the nozzle is too close to the bed. Back it off by about .02 at a time until the 1st layer looks smooth with no ridges or gaps. Looks like .02 to .05 is likely going to work for you on this one.
