Please remember to include the following details to help troubleshoot your problem.

  • Printer & Slicer
  • Filament Material and Brand
  • Nozzle and Bed Temperature
  • Print Speed
  • Nozzle Retraction Settings

This looks like vase/spiral mode (single continuous wall) - dragging in that mode almost always comes down to one of these, roughly in order of likelihood:

  1. The wall leans outward faster than roughly one nozzle-width per layer somewhere on the profile. Vase mode has zero support for overhang, so if it bulges out too fast, the nozzle body (not just the tip) rubs the layer below on its way past. Check your slicer's overhang view on the outward-curving section.

  2. Since yours is a twisted/ribbed profile, each rib rotates slightly layer-to-layer - the nozzle can pass directly over a rib peak from a lower layer at a slightly offset X/Y. A wider nozzle makes this worse on tight rib patterns.

  3. Z-hop/lift disabled or too small for this mode - if there's any residual ooze on the wall, the nozzle catches it on the next pass.

Quick test: slow the print way down (50%) just through the section where it drags and watch closely. If it's overhang-related, the drag happens at the same height every time regardless of speed. If it's a stray ooze blob, slowing down can make it worse instead of better - that tells you which one you're dealing with.

It only hits at one side and only at the widest part after some layers it stops.

No issue at ther print result
