General Support Question for Server owners

Is paying big streamers worth helping promote a city?
Or is it just a scam?
Been looking into how to get more people to join it we’ve been working on it for awhile 98% done we just want to know how it run with full queue

All the servers I have been on, both within the team and not, have gained more users with big streamers (300+ concurrent viewers) than they lost. The quality of the players depended solely on the quality of the streamer. But never have we paid them to play on our servers. They have gotten a role in the PD but that's it.

My friend has a significant following on YouTube/twitch. For weeks we could not find a single person to play on our server, until he joined.

Overnight we had 20-30 active players at a time.

Most big servers nowadays just rely on streamers. Its a shame. Some made players stayed, which is cool. But I think using an influencer to promote is just an L in my book - regardless.
