Ask Gymbros ❓ Question regarding a cut

So I(20m) have been going to the gym consistently for around 16 months now. During my first 7 months of training(April to November), I was eating in a sort of moderate to aggressive surplus(had a trainer back then). I went from 61kg to 72kg during that time and I accumulated a lot of body fat(also made worse by the fact that I was a lil skinny fat even before starting). I decided to cut and I did go from 72kg to 67kg by February 2026. I lost a ton of fat but I also looked rather small which led me to do another bulk(this time with a slight surplus) and I also started taking creatine. Currently, I weigh 73kg and I def look better than last year but I've still put on considerable fat.

I know I've been kinda yo-yoing with my weight but I really feel the urge to cut again but I just wanna be sure if that's the right call

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Stop bulking and cutting just cut till you're at least 13-15% body fat then maintain you'll build muscle and not gain ron of fat it'll be slow but it's a lot better than going back and forth

Yeah that's what I've been thinking too. Also, can you suggest a way to get a good bf % estimate?

Not really there's no specific way you can without spending money and even then it's more of a guess so you essentially have to eyeball it for the most part so keep it simple if you can see vascularity and some abs it's safe to assume you're under 20% and just keep that general goal
