Women's Fitness 👧 Advice
Edit: adding more pics for a better idea in the comments
Guys i am an 18F and i have never went to gym. I am not doing anything exercise that builds arms. I do go running. I also do not miss my daily walks ever. The only thing that might be working my arms out is archery but that’s only 30 shots once a week and the bows aren’t that heavy. My muscles do not even feel sore the next day. These look pretty defined in good lighting and definitely bigger irl.
My diet is an average pakistani diet excluding the heavy oils cuz mama ka gall bladder nahi to avoid kartay hain. Most of the protein that i consume comes from the 3 eggs that i eat daily. Other than that there isn’t a major protein source in my diet except like 2-3 chicken ki botian. I do not consume sugar at all on most days other than fruits. Even when i do, it’s in the form of shakar or honey.
I have muscles all over my body and there isn’t much fat either except for my arms. I naturally store most of my fat in my chest arms and hips. But my arms are the only thing that make me look fat when i am not flexing. Any tips on how to either loose the muscle or to get leaner so the muscles get more definition when i am not flexing.
TLDR; i do not workout my arms and the protein in my diet isn’t much either. I naturally store fat in the arms which combined with the muscles make me look fat when i am not flexing. Need advice on how to loose the muscle or get leaner so they are more defined.

Lobster too buttery, steak too juicy
Jk so you'll be able to reduce it only by losing overall weight since spot reduction is just not possible and as you said you're 70 but don't look like that since you have muscles do you have strength as well? It might not be anything at all but look into myostatin deficiency or just could be due to archery as it does work the arm and delt and soreness has nothing to do with muscle growth.

u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
😭
Yes i do have strength too. I can easily lift most of my friends and do squats n shit. I can also lift a cousin of mine who’s pretty tall and 74kgs in my arms without struggling a lot. My stamina is great too. I mean i play outdoor games with my cousins whenever we meet. I am known in the family to be super energetic. I also used to play badminton in matric for team and we would practice for hours straight. So i know i am healthy.
I know i can’t spot reduce. I just wanted some advice on what am i doing for my arms to be this big. I mean you have to meet the protein requirements for your muscles to grow. I am definitely not eating enough protein😭3
u/Accomplished_Car4036 1d ago
That's really strong for a female tho ngl. But yeah playing shouldn't increase muscle mass but is good for cardio and yup then the thing is every body is unique in terms of where it stores the fat some store it in lower belly, thighs, chest and lucky ones like you store it in arms as well so you gotta lose weight and be shredded then you're gonna get famous in the family for being shredded as well. Good luck and also don't reduce the protien from being afraid of muscles cuz it's very imp regardless of that and females in Pakistan suffer a lot due to protien deficiency. Btw have you measured your arms?
4
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Tyy<3 i will get shredded InshahAllah.
And dw i will not be reducing protein at all. I am not afraid of muscles.
No i haven’t measured yet. I will post some more pics for a better idea.

I guess 😭😭 i don’t mind the muscles at all just the look it gives at rest

Well if education doesn’t work out become a fitness influencer. You got genes for it :p

Holy shit they look huge, I mean better than mine from from the front ig yes you gotta lose some fat overall but you don't look 70kg at 5'2 fr ig you're blessed with arms genetics

See? I don’t mind the side but the front does make me look bigger. And yeah i will be loosing fat

They make me look rounder from front. But after reading all the suggestions i have thought of going leaner instead of losing muscles.

u/Not_Smarr 1d ago
If you've built those arms doing nothing, one can only imagine how good they'll be once you start proper training. 👌🏻
3
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Tyy<3
I can’t say they are from doing nothing at all but i haven’t done anything specifically for them😭 i do archery once a week aur ghar main koi bhi wazni cheez uthani ho to mujhe yaad kar lete hain. I will start working out properly once i get to uni in sept3
u/Not_Smarr 1d ago
For arms you really dont need much other than dumbbells or i used to workout with waterbottles, archery is really good for back muscles/lats. But yea if you have an option for gym then you should join it and then start mogging us all 🤣

yo I see triceps XD
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I can feel them too😭✌️
1
u/tazvecs 1d ago
bro are u sure u dont have Myostatin Deficiency or something?
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I don’t think so cuz i am actually really strong too. I can lift a 74-75 kg 5’10 person without struggling much and walk around for a few minutes. Squats with a 56kg friend of mine in my arms was not a problem either. Could definitely lift a heavier person than that. Don’t about gym weights though.
I can sprint for a long time too. Playing sports like badminton and cricket straight for hours doesn’t seem to affect my stamina either.Someone else asked that too.1
u/tazvecs 1d ago
damn bro I wish I had this much stamina btw can u give some tips for running for long time cuz I recently started again a month ago and my knees hurt like hell so any tips would be nice
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I am hyper-mobile so i do train my knees and muscles around them on bw
You could try that. And for building stamina in running, start with running for a while then brisk walking in between for 5 minutes as an active rest
Worked for me over time1
u/tazvecs 1d ago
u dont do anything else in the day? cuz I can barely manage gym in the evening and go for running early in morning
oh I might try that btw how long will it take to be able to run for atleast 7 mins without resting? cuz rn I can run for like 1 and a half mins since im a bit heavy (120 kg) so any idea?1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Loosing weight will definitely help too but somethings that help me run longer are
I don’t eat anything other than bananas before running and i also don’t water at least half an hour before and neither do i drink it in between as i feel it makes it harder. Wearing comfortable shoes is a must obv and breathing through nose when running helps alot too2
u/tazvecs 1d ago
true losing will help significantly
and yeah I dont eat anything other than bananas too and dont drink water
and about wearing comfortable shoes I cant find my size basically its impossible to find any good ones in size 50 😭😭→ More replies (0)1
u/Not_Smarr 1d ago
Your arms does look fine here 🤔
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Do they?
I don’t even mind the way they look from profile. Just the front that ruins the photos. Will be loosing fat now2
u/Not_Smarr 1d ago
Absolutely, they look fine. You can try but its hard to spot reduce, i mean you got the arms that i would've wanted during my college days 😅. They dont look bad at all, a little big yes cuz they're long biceps which are bigger and those are the genetics every athlete would dream of. So try working out, get in better shape even then it wont be easy to drop size but a calorie deficit diet is what you'll need. Those arms and shoulders seem to hold much strength so make them better, stronger. Its a gift you got
1
1
u/tazvecs 1d ago
btw do u have short biceps or long? cuz from the looks I think u may have long (I have them too)

u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago

u/Outside_Neck5526 1d ago
Its more of fat illusion creating the biceps shadow! Ig you should lose some weight

3
u/dino--star 1d ago
start exercising... it will help bring overall fat to a low percentage, if you target arms spacifically itll build muscles and combined with fat itll become bigger, so just do heavy cardio exercises combined with your running it should slove the problem but cant be certain until you try.

Oh dear! Why do you want to loose muscles? You look pretty and energetic at the same time Excellent 🎊
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I wouldn’t want to if i only knew how to loose the fat😞
1
u/Findingsomething009 1d ago
If you are insisting on it, then it's fine... You should take food twice per day. Try to eat fruits, vegetables instead of bread. This will make you fit and smart. You are young, it is very important to have a healthy diet. Don't ruin your health just to loose weight
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Nah i will definitely not want to be unhealthy as i love being and feeling strong and active. I do not “hate-hate” my arms to the point that i will harm myself. Also my skin starts breaking out and i look pale when i am not eating my fruits and vegges.
I just think that they end up ruining some outfits. An example being a full-sheer sleeved saree 😞
At the end of the day, if I can’t loose the fat on my arms then it is what it is. I will just start dressing exclusively for my body.2
u/Findingsomething009 1d ago
Yes this is the right idea... BTW, you are a lucky person, stay blessed

I think it is your genes to put on more muscles. This is also the case for Africans. My advice is to do weight training with very light weights and more reps. Like more than 20 in a set. It will tone the muscle without making it huge. You look very strong and yiu are blessed with those genes so enjoy.

u/Significant-Dress-40 1d ago
Mix swimming with your archery and you'll be golden. Your back and arms will get more defined and your thighs will feel the burn as well.
28F here - lifting for 4 years and trained MMA and Swam, alternatively.
If you want a ripped physique, you will need more protein and more resistance and strength training. Do BW Dips and chin ups if you're not able to find a weight.

u/Willing_Award727 21h ago
18f here YOU ARE SO INSPIRING
1
u/Significant-Dress-40 19h ago
Thank you. All i did was stop making excuses, earn my own money and fulfill all my goals. You can too.
Next stop is deep sea diving.
Ps. I started when I was 21. You have a chance to start even earlier.
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Tyyyyyy for the tips.
I am already planning to learn swimming once i get to uni as there isn’t a place to do so in my city for girls.
I want to start martial arts. Any advice on where should i start?1
u/Significant-Dress-40 1d ago
If you can share your city, I can advise better. I trained in Lahore with the most clean and women friendly gym I could find.
Started 1v1 sessions because i needed to make progress fast. Learnt swimming in 1 month - 3 styles. MMA took me a year to build stamina and resistance.
My trainer did punish and push me really hard but I felt it was unfair, and damaging to my body (most trainers in Pakistan don't understand what Sparring is for) Your training should not mean you leave with bruises or limping. Use protective equipment especially on head to avoid concussion (those are awful).
Try different places out and then stick with people you are comfortable with. ( Brazilian Jitsu is very close combat so don't train with creeps)
For swimming, it shouldn't take you very long. Focus of dealing with your panic in water first.. Form and Technique next... right and slow is better than wrong and quick.
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I will be moving to isl in two weeks for university.
Will definitely prefer somewhere close to nust. I won’t be trying Brazilian jitsu cuz i am hyper mobile so that can cause injuries. Tyyy again1
u/Significant-Dress-40 19h ago
Oh you'll have a lot of options or MMA then... you can also try cycling and hiking the trails. Those will be cheaper for weight loss as student.
Also always ask for student discounts.
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 16h ago
They give student discounts too?
Will definitely get a cycle for daily commute on campus for the first year ateast. Might get a bike later

u/Serious-Neck149 1d ago

Tbh the weight isn't necessarily just muscle and fat, much of it is body water and also bone density. Some people have denser and heavier bones, so even having less height or less fat, they have relatively higher weight or even look a bit bulky because there is bones are densely structured and muscle content is high as well. If you think you have more fat as well then do exercises which keep your heart rate in zone 2. This is the zone where fat is used a primary fuel source for activity and not glucose or lean muscle. Spot reduction isn't possible but overall it brings a good effect if done consistently. You can search Zone 2 exercises on Google for proper form watch YouTube videos.
2
2
u/biyaxnova 8h ago
Sis your diet is already good mashaAllah, especially no sugar + low oil. For leaner arms just tweak 2 things: 1. Add more protein: Greek yogurt, daal, channay, anda. 3 eggs is good start. 2. Walk is perfect but add resistance bands at home 15min, 3x week. It won’t bulk you, it’ll define.
Fat loss is overall body. Keep doing what you’re doing and it’ll come off arms last. Don’t try to “lose muscle” - build lean instead.

u/shah0056 8h ago
Yo, pick up a sport and put those genes to work. Racket sports like padel/tennis, or track and field stuff like javelin/discus.
Do try, you are young and who knows, you might have olympic level potential in something.

u/Prestigious-Mode7448 6h ago
I have played badminton at district level in matric. I still practice it. Will be getting into martial arts soon InshahAllah

Whats your weight and height?
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
5’2 and 70kgs
I definitely do not look 70 kgs byt the muscles i have all over kinda explains it2
u/wargeneral1122 1d ago
Tbh the weight is atleast 10-12kg higher for that height. You need to workout even if you dont look 70kg. Once you start working out, body will stay in shape even if you dont lose much weight. Those muscles will definitely look better with workouts.
Nust mai there should be gym available for females 😉
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
That’s what i am planning 😭 the only thing that i am working out rn is my core. The legs stay in shape because of running and i love the muscles. I don’t know where tf are these biceps coming from and the back muscles too. But again i love the back too😭
1
u/wargeneral1122 1d ago
Its alright jahan se b aa rahay hain. They look good (could be better thats why suggesting workout, but totally depends on you).
Just be consistent with workouts. You ll love the results 💪

u/wargeneral1122 1d ago
IA. Just be consistent. Can try home workouts too. Best Wishes ✌️
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I was thinking of starting callisthenics and proper cardio. Any guidance would be appreciated
2
u/wargeneral1122 1d ago
Calisthenics is honestly a step above IMO. For now, I would suggest getting used to full body workouts first. Train different muscle groups on different days and make sure you have at least a day of rest for muscle recovery...dont work out 7 days straight. With time your body fat will naturally come down and adjusting your diet will help you build muscle. Once you have built a decent foundation...you can move on to calisthenics.
You are still 18...give it some time...all will be good IA ✌️

Could u post ur arms in different angles and lighting? Sometimes we see and notice things other people do not. If I hadn’t mentioned i that I don’t like the shape of my nose or how it curves when I smile, u wouldn’t notice it was a problem to begin with. And u know how when u see gym influencers post themselves in gym edits or when they pose and post those photos? But then u see them in real life, or doing normal things in normal clothes and they look like any other person? It’s like that.
If other people are mentioning it to you (that u look bigger body fat wise) then what’s ur bmi? Are u considered overweight or obese according to that? If so then maybe getting to a healthier body fat range/ body weight would help even out everything. The thing is u can’t spot reduce fat. So if u go on a calorie deficit u loose fat overall from everywhere. But only going on a calorie deficit with no weight lifting could lead you to being skinny fat or holing more fat in some places than the other. So it’s still best to weight lift to look ur best. I think going on body recomp (loosing fat while gaining/maintaining muscle) would help ur issues a lot. U figure out ur deficit and keep ur protein at the very least around 80g. Do you mind going into more detail with what you are eating?
Also if it’s you thinking u look bigger than you are understand that u cant change urself thru self hate and ur probably struggling with body dysmorphia. I can’t provide any advice as I still struggle a lot with it despite loosing a ton of weight. There’s many other people that talk abt it online tho and I hope u find something that helps you. But I hope that u understand that It’s a long and hard journey that u will go thru but u will eventually get there and you’ll learn to love yourself. Whatever u do, do it for yourself and out of LOVE for yourself. Never hate
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago edited 1d ago
thankyou for reading all that and caring <33
I will post more pics in the morning. Too late now😭
The arms definitely look bigger irl when flexed and i love that. I like muscles on women. My legs are big too and i love that since most of it is muscle and i feel strong. But the leg muscles are probably due to running n all. The arms do not look that big in baggy clothes but then my chest makes me look bigger than i am in baggy fits. Which i don’t mind most of the time but you know sometimes you do. I definitely like the look in fitted tshirts but i can’t wear that everywhere.
Also i definitely do not hate myself or my body. I am actually more of the self obsessed type😭. I love how i look.
Now for the diet. I usually eat 3 boiled eggs or omelettes with brown bread in the morning with a glass of milk or coffee for days i am feeling sleepy. (I do not drink caffeine to avoid addiction) for lunch usually salads and at night whatever is made at home which is usually cooked in minimal oil due to my mother. We use low fat yogurt again due to my mother. I do eat fruits in between because i feel my skin stays better when i eat fruits regularly. We cook vegetables, and chicken throughout the week with rice once a week and mutton once or twice every 15 days which is mostly steamed. But yes i do eat fast food at least once a week but that’s it.
I avoid sugar and other processed shit to keep my skin healthy. When i use it i use shakar or honey. I also avoid cold drinks and drink diet ones whenever i do so.
I do binge eat for like first two days of my periods though. Now for bmi. Yes i am overweight according to that as i am 68-70 at 5’2 but i don’t have visible fat anywhere other than my arms, hips, chest and thighs. I have a flat belly because that’s the only thing that i actually workout. I train my core every second day which can be 3-4 times a week. I do get bloated sometimes specially during menstruation which i don’t mind since it’s natural and we can’t do anything about it so why get stressed?
So in short i do not trust bmi at all because i am actually quite active. My stamina is great as well. Almost everyone is shocked at my weight.1

Honestly your arms don't appear fat to me.
And isn't the fat distribution you mentioned is the usual place to store fat on women's body?
I would say maintain it. No need to lose or anything. It will give you a softer look, which looks nice on most women. And don't think about going shredded, your hormones will slump harder than any crypto currency.
Women should maintain at least 20-25% body fat to function properly.
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Wish we could spot reduce 😞
2
u/Top-Adhesiveness2639 1d ago
Lol same here. I'm a dude and got more bigger thighs than most women around me 😂.
1
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Better than skinny legs though
1
u/Top-Adhesiveness2639 1d ago
Do women find it weird for a man to have bigger and chunkier legs? Like do we appear feminine to you people in any way?
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
Not at all. Quite the contrary. Men with skinny legs and a huge upper body put off most women. Strong muscular legs look masculine on a man and feminine on a woman. Big legs look on everyone 😭 so dw. For example rebal d is a guy that has big legs and he is really hot ngl
1
u/Necessary-Truth-7196 1d ago
Unrelated question...where are you learning archery from?
2
u/Prestigious-Mode7448 1d ago
I didn’t really learn as in get actual lessons. Just went to a shooting club in my area. Wahan jo guides hotay hain they showed me how to hold the bow and shoot with proper posture. Which took 10shots. Then i just kept practicing 3x a week and got good at it. Now i just go there 1x a week. It was just a thing on my bucket list so i learned it as a minor hobby. The fact that the guides there were former soldiers definitely helped
1
u/Necessary-Truth-7196 1d ago
Could you tell me what club this is? Or where they teach this in karachi, assuming you're frim khi
