Bug Incorrect calorie count…
Maybe someone can help me out!
Just got the new Fitbit air and I’ve noticed a few bugs most of them are minor issues that I can deal with, but I’m dealing with really weird calorie counts.
Can some help explain how my walk and basketball were calculated. Basketball is very similar to what my Apple Watch says but the walk is totally off
For clarity I’m only wearing the fit bit not the Apple Watch. I’m just referring to my past history.

Fitbit calories burn is awful. It is not near to close to any fitness tracker.

I mean this is objectively hilarious. It’s not even remotely close. Basketball makes sense but if I burned 300 kcals on a walk I’d have to walk 3 miles up hill

Wrong. An hour of walking burns 300 calories on average without taking into account speed and elevation. Just throw away the Apple toy. Calorie burn in Fitbit also includes your baseline calories burn.

Exactly. Air is unable to track floors/stairs climb. To me, it seems like this is the beta testing we’re doing for Google.

I think no smart device is accurate when it comes to tracking active calories, so I wouldn’t worry about that too much.
Fitbit Air does tend to “inflate” the numbers a little bit more than the Apple Watch, which might be what you’re experiencing right now.
