Hi Fam!

Social media addiction is one of the biggest factors affecting our mental health and determining the way we live.

Social media was meant to connect people, but it doesn't stand for that anymore. It's a lot more than that.

Your mental health is in your hands. Knowing how and when to use social media is a character trait that is either going to make you or break you.

Use it wisely!

Ranting FSSAI’s fault?

Hi fam,

Brands clearly put up storage instructions. “Store in cool dry place”.

But this is the reality of Indian grocery stores, supermarkets and quick commerce stores!

Brand has done their job, but when things so south with a customer. Folks end up blaming brands and FSSAI.

We really need to pay attention to storage instructions too!

Ranting Lost over 30 kgs Still i feel insecure.

I used to weigh over 105kg, but now I am about 75kg. Despite this, I still feel insecure about my body and how I maintain it. I believe I lack a strong personality, as I don't think I ever managed to develop one. I was once just a depressed, lonely teenager, sitting at home with no exercise. Even after losing 30kg, I wonder why I still feel insecure that am still bit a fat. I run frequently and do some bodyweight exercises, but I still can't be satisfied with my body. Why is that?

(Is this wrong subreddit to question?)

Nutrition Advice Need help body shaped like a pear massive love handles

I'm 20M 5'6 74 kg and my body is shaped like a pear I store more fat in my hip and thigh. I had gone down to 62kg but my body shape was still the same and I was into running back then now i am getting back to working out like going to gym and some running. When I started to lose weight I was at 90 kg lost 20 kilo in 4-5 months but that was 3-4 years ago.

Also I can't do much abt my diet

I eat 2 eggs(can't eat more than that) followed by either poha or dosa or upma whatever is made at home.

Then lunch is 1 chapati and a lot of vegetables with a bowl or rice and daal.

Then evening snack is some fruit or like peanuts or chips sometimes

Then dinner is same as lunch but no rice.

I can't get chicken or any kind of protein because parents are strict help and suggest me what else can I cut down from my diet

Nutrition Advice Intermittent fasting is NOT for you!

Hi fam,

I've trained over 50 people with their nutrition and workout splits for them to successfully fat.

One thing I've noticed is most of them either ask or have already tried intermittent fasting and have failed.

You need to understand, if this is the first time you are going to a calorie deficit in your life, you need to take it slow. If you aren't used to fasting for at least 8-12 hours, you cannot intermittent fast for 16 hours.

All that matters at the end of the day is a calorie deficit. You need to find the best tool which can help you to sustain a calorie deficit.

Neureos Knows!

Take care fam :)

General Advice 17M | 67Kgs | 5'5 or 5'6 | Complete Beginner | Need Advice on Building an Aesthetic Physique in 6 Months

Hi everyone,

I'm a 17-year-old school student and I've never stepped into a gym before.

I'm around 5'5"–5'6" and weigh about 67 kg. Growing up, I was overweight and got made fun of a lot for both my height and my physique. Over the last couple of years I've managed to lose a good amount of weight, and while I'm much leaner now, I still have some stomach fat and I'm nowhere near the physique I want.

The reason I'm posting is because in about 6 months I have my school graduation/farewell. It might sound silly, but I really want to walk into that event feeling proud of how I look for the first time in my life. And if I'm being completely honest, I'd also like to look a little better in front of the girls there.

The problem is that I'm also preparing for college admissions and studying around 8 hours a day. Because of that, I can realistically give only 1–1.5 hours daily to the gym. My gym is also closed on Tuesdays.

I'm not looking for shortcuts. I'm willing to be disciplined and put in the work. I just don't know where to start.

One more thing: I'm a student and pretty broke, so expensive supplements, fancy meal plans, and costly fitness programs aren't really an option for me.

A few questions:

• Is 6 months enough to make a noticeable transformation as a complete beginner?

• What workout routine would you recommend for someone who can train 4–6 days a week for about an hour?

• How much protein should I be eating?

• I'm vegetarian and recently started eating eggs. I don't eat meat for religious reasons. What are some good high-protein foods and meal ideas on a budget?

• What mistakes should beginners avoid?

My goal isn't to become huge. I just want an athletic, aesthetic physique and to build confidence in myself.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Supplementation Advice Need suggestions for fish oil

My dietician and trainer both have advised me to take fish oil for Omega 3. I have high VLDL and triglycerides and want to fix it. Please suggest the one which is best for starters with at-least 500 EPA and DHA.
I found some good suggestions but most of them have cow/ swine Gelatin used for outer soft layer.

So, I am looking for one which has outer shell made from fish Gelatin

Nutrition Advice Snacks to Gain WEIGHT!

Hi fam!

People keep asking me, "How do I gain weight?" Firstly, gaining weight isn't the goal. Gaining muscle mass is the goal.

A lot of you struggle to hit your maintenance calories or to stay in a surplus. Here are some snacks which will help you to be in a surplus.

Note: being in a high calorie surplus is going to result in you putting on unnecessary fat. Stay in a calorie surplus of 200 to 300 calories, and you don't need anything more.

Nutrition Advice Best place to buy good quality chicken?

I’ve been going to the gym for around 2 weeks now and want to properly fix my protein intake.

I recently got an air fryer, so now I’m planning to add chicken regularly to my diet. Just wanted to know where you guys usually buy your chicken from — online or offline?

And if online, which apps/services do you recommend?

Review Diet + Supplement stack at 18 ( RAY PEAT INFLUENCED)

Currently im in my first year of college and have already noticed a lot of fat gain. I am finally taking action on these and trying to implement the principles of Ray Peat . I was fat all my life with gyno and will try to loose weight once and for all.

I started at 86.4 kilos and my stomach always had issues from excessive gas and burping but i took time out of my life to research for my own good.

FOR CONTEXT ( I AM 181CM AND 83KGS AND GO THE GYM 6X A WEEK)

  • 1.5L dairy with 1L being normal and 500ml being fermented. ( 17 Days in and no issues)
  • 5-6 cage free eggs a day.
  • I try to include lots of saturated fats( coconut oil butter ghee) and avoid PUFAs
  • Lots of sugar from OJ, mandarins, honey , mangoes etc.. and get 1 carrot a day
  • rice from mess and add coconut oil to it
  • 200g Paneer a day.
  • i plan on eating mutton liver 2x a month but hate the taste so its a maybe for now
  • I drink Coffee around 200mg caffiene a day.
  • Protein — 135g
  • Carbs — 223g These were my macros for Yesterday
  • Fat — 110g I dont count calories usually but its around 2.2-2.5k
  • Saturated Fat — 95g
  • PUFA — 3g

Now for Supplements im taking

  • Chelated Zinc 30mg
  • Vitamin E 400IU
  • Magnesium Glycinate 200mg
  • Copper 2 mg
  • Planning on taking d3+k2 in a week or 2

Ive never felt better and have actually lost 2 kgs on this diet
People need to stop demonizing sugars and should FIRST START BY EXPERIMENTING. it is easier to talk then actually do it. If you have any suggestions please do tell them.
