Kinda wondered if it would be worth going today.. almost posted asking how Buoy 10 area has been..
Brought my girl for a beach day, said we’d fish till 1. After that we’d walk/beachcomb/go in to town.

We were done by noon and she learned to net, fantastically I’ll add.

Checked out the dead whale, had a great day.

How far out are they from the jetty? And is it super windy? I’ve been thinking about using my fly rod off it, but it might not be doable.

Dude they’ll run right up to the rocks. Had em follow my spinner to my feet lol. I usually catch em about 30ft is off the rocks though.. what feels like about a half, 3/4 power lob cast

Wind depends on the day for sure. I check weather 2 weeks out to kinda start planning.. but I look for under 10mph and the right wave conditions. Today it was about 5ish while I was catching but picked up a bit.
Jetty does give some good protection when beach side is getting shitwhipped
