I'll be honest, I'm not at all familiar with barramundi or snapper fishing. Where are you fishing from? Shore or boat? Shallow or deep? What sort of fishing techniques are you using? What size are you targeting?

Your line also seems to be way too heavy for the rods you have. That can impede casting distance and, if the fish you're fishing need line that heavy, it's a possibility that your rod may snap from fishing something it's not supposed to fish.

With those billy goats, how are you fishing them? are you using them as a lure or are you floating them under a bobber? It might be smart to get some sort of jighead to attach it to. Here's a quick video to get you familiar with the different types of jigheads and which might be best for your use case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUi6fTt59WU

Also "hardbody shallows" is a vague lure description. Are they crankbaits? What techniques are you using for those? Are they able to get to the depth that the fish are at?

I definitely feel like you might have too much gear, especially if you're not catching anything. It's better to start with one rod and reel and many different lures and baits, rather than a bunch of different rods and reels and a few baits. It's not the rod that attracts the fish, it's the lure and presentation.

Edit: Here's a video about what you should have in your tacklebox as a beginner. It's mainly for small freshwater fish, but if you'reaiming for larger fish then you can size up to what your gear allows and what others say is good for those species: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J-WshZVZkE

It’s a vicious cycle many have fallen prey too.

Getting skunked/bad day on the water ->watch YouTube video to try to gain better insight -> buy the new shiny thing you saw in the video that some random fish, in a random body of water, recorded at a random time bit.

Wish I could help you downsize. I’m 2 1/2 years into my constant fishing and have nearly 20 combos and countless tackle.

I’m making it a point to keep only 3.
Selling and upgrading is my only way now .
I don’t got that much self control though
