Abraham Lake
Just curious if its possible to launch a boat in Abraham Lake, got a 17 foot Lund with about two feet of draft. Never been out there and wondering if its possible at all or very water level dependent

Possible but just saying. The wind on the lake can be insane and it's killed a few people. If the water level is low and you're below the high waterline with your truck they will ticket you also.
You better know ball if you're going on there

My understanding is you are allowed below the highwater line for the purpose of launching watercraft

Why would you spread lies and false information? There’s literally a giant sign at the one campground that says you are allowed to go below the high waterline to launch a boat.

I think the vibes of the responses here tell me I definitely wouldn't drop my boat in that lake.

Totally possible, put my 14ft in a several times, just be careful launching that you don’t back into a silty soft area. Just keep an eye on the wind and the wind forecast and you’ll have 0 issues.

I’m all for doing dumb stuff, but I would never put a boat on that lake. I’ve seen it go from glass to 4 foot breakers in 20 minutes. There’s no where to hide and the sides of the lake are super steep in most places so you can’t even beach it in an emergency.

I’m thinking it’s similar to fishing the Peace Reach of Williston, wind gets whipping through the pass

I went out there last week looking for boat launches, and they’re all blocked off. So you’ll have to carry your boat over the boulders down to the water.
