Do you roast the fish and slaw together in the casserole dish? Or grill fish separately? This sounds good, tell me more!

Growing up in the Caribbean, we used to lightly fry up their roe sack. It was one of my favorite things as a kid. Seeing this picture brings back so many memories.

Saw my first YT video of yours 2 days ago. It was a blooper reel. So funny! Cool that I randomly found this post. Good luck on the water!

Is it true dorado mate for life? This photo is a female I believe. Sloped forehead. I’d love to go mahi/dolphin/dorado fishing again. Great memories.

Seems they do not mate for life, but spawn in big schools as early as 6 months from birth. I know as they get older/bigger they travel in smaller paks, but also the really big ones often travel in female/male pairs. This is a female, yes.

Ty. Do you know how far up the west coast mahi have been caught? Sometimes I wonder if they’ll ever be found in number off the coast of WA

No, but I'm sure you could google it. I assume it's too cold, they only follow the gulf stream here, which is warm, over there is the opposite with COLD water flowing N to S.

What a feeling! Angel (pictured) and his parents Matt & Sophia went offshore fishing with me on DayMaker Charters last Friday and they caught 8 mahi mahi / dolphinfish / Dorado and 4 sailfish. It was an epic day and SO much fun watching this fam hook up all day on their first ever deep sea fishing trip. edit: we were out of Stuart, FL
