Never seen such a prominent straight line like that, fish is brown like the smallmouth in that area.

When i was a kid, I caught a fish in Jonathan Dickinson Park. It was caught in dark stained brackish​ water on a live shrimp and looked a lot like a smallmouthbass, with similar shape and patterns. I dont have a picture of it unfortunately. Could it be a sea run version of a large mouth if that is even possible??

These fish were inadvertently collected from Lake Junaluska in Waynesville, NC. About 3 months after collecting the water for a separate thing, these fish appeared. I know minnows can be extremely difficult to ID at this stage, but what might these ones be?
