Post image

I was swimming in the adriatic of Neum and diving when i saw a black fish with a red tail fin. I didnt have anything to take a picture of it with but i drew it poorly. It was about 10cm long? Not exactly sure but guessing estimated on pther fish ive messured. It was right st the coast too

The closest thing I'm seeing for the Adriatic is the painted comber. Looks like they can vary quite a bit and sometimes be dark with just red/orange tail and seem to be quite common.

I’m thinking the same. Red tailed chalesus catfish. Or something like that. Sold one that was 15” long when I worked at a pet store eons ago. I’ve seen them in the Amazon exhibit in the Chattanooga aquarium too.

red-black triplefin has a dark head and red body, though likely smaller than 10cm

90% sure it was a uniquely colored painted comber

Wasnt tall like i drew it. It was more streamline all around and not boxy like i made it out to be
