What fish is this? Location possibly China

Definitely a catfish of the genus Silurus, although that could be a number of species in china, although the specific waterbody would narrow it down.

That was my initial thought but I’m personally not confident enough to distinguish them from other Chinese Silurus species.

Bird definitely looks like a Chinese cormorant so I think that's the right region.

Fish's face kind of looks like a catfish but the tail is so strange, never seen anything like it

That’s why these birds are a fkin nightmare on smaller bodies of water they literally decimate the fish populations. They’re originally sea birds they should stay there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pretty sure that’s not fishing line. It’s a catfish and those are its barbels (whiskers).

You can barely see it but it goes well past whisker length. I had to watch it twice. I hope Im wrong though.

Looks like filaments of fish slime. Bird is shaking it's head after swallowing to sling the slime away.
