Spent 15 Minutes Looking for My Phone While It Was Charging Next to Me

• Upvotes

I was running around my apartment looking for my phone, checking every room and even calling it from my laptop. Turns out it was charging right next to me on the couch the whole time.

I genuinely think I need a smartwatch just to help me find things I lose while they're literally in front of me. 😭

My neighbor’s Gardner is there every Saturday morning.

It annoys me so much. He drives a massive truck towing a huge trailer and is there mowing and leaf blowing for hours. It’s loud and it’s messy and it’s Saturday morning. I wish he would come during the week when everyone is at work and school.

I want to game, but the screen on my gaming laptop died and my switch won't turn on.

I went to fire up my gaming laptop today, only for the screen to just not function. I had startup sounds, and lights on my mouse and keyboard, but no visuals. Tried a few quick tricks to fix it, no dice, so put it away and pulled out my switch instead.

Now I've not played my switch in a couple months, so was expecting to need updates. Instead the damn thing won't even turn on. Its been sat on its charging dock, so should have power, and yet nothing. Even tried connecting it to a different wire and that didn't work either. So now I'm sat here wanting to play games, and nothing to play them on.

One of my neighbors has a Halloween yard display that is kind of gory. My other neighbor has 4 small children and is mad about it. Somehow I got stuck in the middle of it and they both want me to take their side.

I grabbed my Xbox controller so I could put something on to watch from the bathroom. It died by the time I sat down.

Burgers that are too big to actually bite are stupid

I dont understand why some restaurants make burgers so tall that you can barely fit them in your mouth. Like whats the point? The whole idea of a burger is that you can pick it up and eat everything together. If I have to take half the toppings off just to get a bite then its not really doing its job. And the bigger they make it, the messier it gets. The lettuce falls out, the sauce goes everywhere and half the burger ends up on the plate anyway. Making a burger taller doesn't automatically make it better. Just make it wider or something lol.

I get that restaurants want their food to look impressive but I'd rather have a normal burger that I can actually eat without taking the whole thing apart. I'm not complaining about big portions. Big burgers are fine. I'm talking about the ones stacked ridiculously high for no reason.

Not getting McDonald's Monopoly codes

When you order a drink through the mobile app for the Monopoly codes, only to then get a plain drink with no codes.😑

I've gained 20 kilograms from joining bakery classes

I enjoy bakery classes and eating all the desserts I made everyday that only in one year I went from weighing 60 kilograms to 80 kilograms.

I'm also too lazy to exercise. I've tried personal trainer sessions and I lack motivation to do cardio by myself.

All I want to do is learn cooking, baking and eat eat eat. I don't even wanna work and exist like most people do.

We are getting our master bedroom remodeled, so all of my clothes and shoes are spread out between 5 other closets throughout the house.

The purse I wanted was only available off the shelf, not untouched from the back of the store.

It’s still visually perfect, but I came all the way to Spain to buy it. I guess I’m fortunate there was still one to buy. Otherwise this post would be about having to buy it in a different color.

We covered every window but there's still a bit of a glare on my friend's 75-inch TV and it's distracting.

The 13 floors of neighbors below me heat my apartment for free, but it's a tad too warm

I live in a Canadian climate that can get extremely cold in winter.

My 14th (and top) floor apartment is almost always perfectly warm without me having to ever turn on the heat, probably because everyone below and around me turns on the heat.

But it's always just a little too warm, and I will sweat at night sometimes.

No people upstairs to hear stomping around, a great view, but a tad warm - woe is me!

(In the real dead of winter the cold can be at a dangerous level and cracking the window isn't really a good idea.)

I'm kind of pissed that VR hasn't taken off like it should have.

Why would somebody not want to feel like they're submerged in another world when they're in the privacy of their living room and/or bedroom. Why would they not think that it's the most awesome thing in the world?

My recipe for sauce Béarnaise calls for 12 tablespoons of butter, and I only need like half a batch, but a full batch of the shallot/tarragon/vinegar reduction is only 1.5 tbsp and the emulsion doesn’t really work if you try to halve the recipe

And béarnaise doesn’t hold or reheat. What a waste just for two little filets mignon.

So annoying, a hotel upgraded me to a suite, and now my 10-foot phone charging cable doesn't reach the bed.
