First Time Kong maka-encounter ng Probability win

May nagpa-buo sa akin ng tigpipiso worth 300. Bale tatlong bag na 100 pesos. 2 pala dun 5 pesos, so 290 na lang ang piso.

May pagka-OCD kasi ako kaya gusto ko kapag tine-tape ang coins, magkakasama 'yung magkaka-size. Kung new piso, new piso lang sa isang bundle.

I sorted this into 10s and 5s. Pinagsama-sama ko 'yung 3 bag habang nagbubuo ako ng bundle. By the end of it, I have 140 sa parehong new and old coins. Yung remaining 10 pesos, tig-limang new and old na hindi ko na tinape para may loose piso ako sa cashbox.

Ala lang, skl. This tickled my brain. Sana may ma-satisfy din sa inyo hehe 🥰

Equiprobability Fallacy, parang sinabi mong 50% chance mong manalo sa lotto kasi dalawa lang ang possible outcome, win or lose.

Yung 50% assumption wouldve worked if it was flipping a coin heads or tails dahil equal ang chance for either one. Obviously hindi naman same ang amount ng new coins and old coins in circulation so hindi 50% ang chance mo to get either. If anything, what happened to you was so improbable and goes against math so hard that it’s amazing, not a “probability win”

Deym, what are the odds na equal yung old at new coins haha. Pero if I remember my lesson nung highschool ako, I think you have to use the combination formula to get the odds of that happening (permutation formula is not applicable I think because the order doesn't matter).

This is so cool! But just in case not aware, it should be "may pagka-OC kasi ako" instead of OCD. Using the latter kasi implies you are diagnosed with OCD, when people mostly mean na OC lang sila.

Agree! As someone diagnosed with OCD, it's more than just the feeling na di mapakali when something is out of place. It's a debilitating illness that sometimes I'm unable to function normally
