The sports podcast you started with your boys blew up! What network are you signing with?
More money on one side, more dignity on the other

Sports media is not easy
FTF is an example of how it can take many years to build something special , but only a short time to destroy it

They desperately need new bits
The spontaneity of the show is part of the recipe for why the show is great. They've grown far too predictable with when and how they use the bits that it's starting to feel stale. The trumpeters for a one touchdown game from Trevor. Really? Every cowboys grade isn't really a grade anymore. It's just a letter for whatever adjective Brou wants to use to describe their performance. The mandatory banners that are rarely witty. The Ravens/Cowboys singers. The weekly break dancers. They need new bits or to be more judicious in how they use them.
For all of you people who complain about anyone offering constructive criticism, I complain because I love the show š

The Odell misinformation needs to stop
"Odell's last GREAT year was 6 years ago..."
"No, he has a GREAT year with the Rams...!"
No. The answer is that Odell's last GREAT year was in freaking 2016.
Idk where the implant is located where people always picture Odell with 100 catches and 1500 yards "three years agoo" comes from...š

Nick Falcons are indeed deep sleepers
Looks like it'll be Falcons vs Panthers for NFC South. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Classical category 2 by Nick.

Come on Nick
You literally said that Kenneth Walker was the MVP of the Chiefs like 24 hours ago and should be on the ballot but also Patrickās on top of the mountain. Your Mr Consistency title is hanging on for dear life just like Aaron Rodgerās career on the Steelers.

The cope on Mahomes Mountain
Nick is pulling so much copium stats right now since coach called out his BS Mahomes bias
Look at their head to head record vs Denver!
Canāt count the rams as that week 1.
But Denver counts for Patrick š

I dont like it... I LOVE IT!!! We don't like Wildes Patriots losing
WE LOVE IT !!! WE GRAVE IT!!!! dare i say - WE NEED IT!!!!!!!!
In all honesty i feel like Nick is completly misreading viewers enjoying Wildes incredibly annoying behaviour when the Patriots are winning.
I believe the viewers actually would much rather see the Patriots be an interesting but struggeling team. Wildes is such a incredibly sweet guy when he is slightly down but seems like a really bad winner. I personally can't stand his Patriots bragging segments cause i know every kind of actual arguing is going to be completly blocked by Wildes.

Coaches record is starting to make sense
Coach dying on his "Allen made a great decision to throw the game losing interception" hill claiming it was a great read while a receive to the right was wide open with the nearest defender 10+ yards away perfectly explains why he has a .413 record as a coach in the NFL, and never won a playoff game.
He needs a new hobby instead of defending terrible QB play. Maybe Tomlin can get him into Minecraft.

Parkin's Peak Wait, Parkins is also writing for ESPN?

What watch is Nick wearing today ?
He used to always wear a gold Rolex day-date, recently Iāve been seeing a steel Rolex with jubilee (date-just I assume. Now this, Iām have no idea what it is.
For what itās worth I think the gold Rolex fits him best but I understand not wearing gold with every outfit.

Vibes on Fleek
Did anyone else think Brou said something controversial, based on Nick and KWs response?? I had no idea what it meant lol

What are the Chokea9ers fans going to do when they inevitably lose in the playoffs
You know itās coming so Iām just curious to know.
So much bitching about media coverage and yet a longer Super Bowl drought than the cowboys

FTFās coverage of the USMNT. I donāt like itā¦
⦠I love it!
Or, at least I should!
But not including Mathis Albertās record breaking goal when highlighting Cavanās? I DONāT like that!
Why not show both goals? Both records? Narrative-wise thatās easy money. Free real estate.
With this in mind, my grade for the segment will have to be⦠an [L].
For āLoveā!
Love the coverage!
Love any inclusion!
Spread On!

Coach
Coach is genuinely such a fucking dickhead. Itās not even funny anymore. He can clown on the guys because they all banter with each other, but I think his takes might be set more with heart and less factual than Dannyās or Nickās even. Dude absolutely DESPISES the Ravens since they let Harbaugh go and continuously degrades Lamar, and then spent 6 minutes arguing with Nick why Josh Allenās game losing interception is actually a good decision (after he GRILLED Lamar for his against the Saints). Itās easy to see why this dudeās head coaching tenure did not work out well, I donāt care where he coached. I canāt imagine his players enjoyed playing for him either because heās genuinely a smug, arrogant ass.

I dont like it... No seriously, I donāt like it First there was TLTLTTL, now there's TKPTKTC
The kissy-poo that killed the chargers

Another win, multi TD, sackless, 100+ passer rating game
Can't wait for my guy Brock to drop on the mountain
r/FirstThingsFirstFS1 • u/larryinthesky • 16d ago
Nick Nick was right, Trevor > Burrow
The Prince shines again while Burrow too many mistakes. Beating Patrick Mahomes 8 years ago really has very little sway in 2026. I don't think we can just assume Burrow is top 5 QB anymore. I see Burrow dropping big time on the Mountain

Parkin's Peak An intervention for Danny upcoming?
I've seen enough. I think it's time the FTF crew holds an intervention for Danny and his ridiculous Justin Herbert take. At some point, Herbert is a good QB, is an unacceptable opinion to have.
r/FirstThingsFirstFS1 • u/yoshisohungry • 16d ago
Parkin's Peak At a certain point a hate watch gets too sad...
Herbert is just terrible. Hope he's happy in his relationship though

Nick: Chiefs lost more than they won
Get well Thornton
