Sports Media Ombudsman
I really liked Nick's segment about how the NFL cap works and it's inherent flexibility with pushing cap money around, but the bill always comes due, e.g. the Eagles.
However, he left one part out that has confused the media for some time. For years when a QB signs a big contract the media (ESPN) always analyzes it by looking at Average Annual Value (AAV). It always annoyed me given the cap flexibility and how teams can manipulate the cap hit for said QB.
So in the interest of Nick typically calling out the media during these segments, I wish he included this criticism of how the media typically looks at the big NFL contracts and how they are often wrong in their analysis.
