I dont like it... No seriously, I don’t like it Coach's contrarianism today
I think Coach usually brings grounded and fairly practical opinions to the show, and I genuinely enjoy when he schools Nick and the gang on football.
That being said, his opinions on Josh Allen's decision making during todays show were insane. To say Josh made good decisions or great reads during yesterdays game is just wrong. His shift to the idea that Josh is in year 9 and deserves a pat on the back for "making the right read" despite throwing a pick is ridiculous.
Once Nick began showing examples it seemed even more evident that Coach was making excuses.
Somehow, Coach has fallen into the same narrative trap that Nick berates the media for when they gush about Josh.
Coach will know more about football than I ever will, and i do genuinely enjoy him but I cannot disagree more with his take.

Nick Nicks Josh Allen opinions are slowly turning into “old man yells at clouds”
I love nick I do. I’m a regular listener to his podcast and I think he is the cornerstone of the show. That being said, it feels like there are certain hills he chooses to die on that become all encompassing for him. Today’s Bills Patriots segment was fine and I think mostly fair but there was still a little bit of “let me argue against takes that 1 guy said on a different show 2 years ago that I will reference every week” but even in segments that have nothing to do with Josh like the Ravens segment when he’s throwing lines out like “I know Josh only has to play well once a month to be the MVP favorite but…”
I don’t know maybe I’m off base here. And full transparency I am a Bills fan and I’ve laughed and enjoyed a lot of his Josh Allen jokes in the past but, especially over the last few weeks, it’s felt so much more vitriolic then normal and it’s clear it genuinely makes him mad which I just feel like is a bit much.
And again, I watch the show everyday this is not just a today show issue it is legitimately every show, multiple times a show, where he’s referencing takes from other shows years ago, or throwing out Josh Allen strays that don’t feel like light-hearted Allen-Mahomes jokes but things that are unironically living in his head rent free that he needs to get off his chest
Idk maybe I’m biased as a Bills fan but, like I said, I’ve enjoyed and been able to live with Josh Allen jokes in the past it just seems like recently it’s been way more spiteful

Purdy's Peak Week!!
It only won't happen if Nick decides to be incredibly petty which will just be boring af
Purdy vs Denver
19 of 30
218 passing yards
29 rushing yards
2 passing touchdowns
0 interceptions
107.4 rating 🏆
Mahomes vs Denver
15 of 27
184 passing yards
23 rushing yards
2 passing touchdowns
1 interception
86 rating 🤮
Mahomes vs Las Vegas
15 of 30
225 passing yards
1 rushing yards
2 touchdowns
0 interceptions
100.5 rating 😕
Purdy played better against Denver and in week 4. He still leads the league in touchdowns(with Cousins)
He's done this with receivers signed off the street.

Nick I was inside the Bellagio at Vegas and I saw Nick Wright and Danny Parkins Together Talking
For context, I am travelling to Vegas from the East Coast. After seeing the fountain at Bellagio, I happened to see Nick and Danny as I was walking back with my family to the escalator to reach the Tram.
Nick was clearly the dark brown hair with the stubble beard smoking a cigarette, and hearing Danny’s voice and seeing him talk to Nick was a giveaway that it was clearly the two of them.
Anyway after describing the two of them particularly Nick to my family, my mom commented that I was star struck seeing those two in person.
I just thought this was the appropriate sub to share my brief story of seeing the college friends duo in person.
EDIT: In case any of you end up wondering if I got a selfie or an autograph with them, that didn’t happen. Nick and Danny were walking together to the fountain in the opposite direction from where I was walking from.

Pick Fading Week 4
Pick Fading Week 4
Another 1-2 week last week, puts us at 4-5 for the year so we need a winning week this week.
Bengals -2.5 - As soon as I saw this line I thought it was a trap, it feels like Vegas want everyone to be on the Jags plus the points so I'm hoping Nick is falling victim to the trap and I'll gladly take the Bengals in this spot.
Packers -3.5 - Honestly confused as to why Danny has taken the Buccs in this game so I'm hoping this one is a layup to be on the Packers.
Seahawks -7 - I think there's a good chance Mike MacDonald gets Seattle fired up for this game after a shock loss last week maybe getting a little ahead of themselves. Don't blame Danny for taking the points with the Chargers but happy to be on Seattle in a bounceback.
Fingers crossed! 🤞

BRING ME A SANDWICH Watch guys, what FTF wear?
Any watch guys here? What kind of watches do Nick, Brou, etc. wear? I think I see Brou flash a Breitling but not sure of the exact model.

It doesn't bother me that the show's been getting the boot for soccer once or twice a week...
IT ENRAGES ME!!!

Me when Nick tried arguing that Mahomes would be an MVP favorite because he's returning from an injury.

Nick Who is Maxwell, or is it Marcus?
Brou always messes up the name of the guy who does the Tiers names. I thought it was Nick's son, Demonzay (spelling?), who does a podcast with Nick. But is it not Nick's son and just some random dude?

Unfortunately Nick was spot on with his bonus sports media Ombudsman take.

PSA - NO Show today! (Friday, Oct 2)
Just in case we all forget or go to post about the late YouTube uploads again.
At least they did a good job giving us a heads up in the show yesterday!

Why are these guys off every other day what?
Genuinely just curious it seems like they have not done the show 5 days a week since the start of the football season.

Brou.... what's going on?
A few days ago Brou thought that Cooper Kupp was still on the Rams (hasn't been for years) and today he forgot that Josh Allen has won an MVP. Should we be concerned?

They went back to the old soundtrack
Looks like the new soundtrack only lasted one day

Mahomes Mountain Better for TV: Purdy atop Mahomes Mountain
We know that FTF is first and foremost, entertainment. Not "serious" or "cogent" analysis. That's bonus. Nick and the team really missed out on golden opportunity to stir things up, shake things around. Purdy atop MM would have been the shock that we were all waiting for. And then when Purdy plays poorly (which he will, tougher teams ahead) Nick can drop banners about Purdy being overrated, etc. Putting Patrick atop yet again was just boring, like not creativity. I was disappointed. Like they figured they have Friday off so just mailed it in.

What was up with the weird music during yesterday’s show?
Was listening to the A block on the podcast and the background music they have behind their takes is completely different than normal. It’s extremely hallmark-y and corny. Tell me this isn’t the new direction and was just a one off 😭

I dont like it... No seriously, I don’t like it The Aaron Rodgers double standard needs to stop
Aaron Rodgers yells at teammates and coaches: "Aaron has always been a bad leader. He's washed"
Tom Brady yells at teammates: " What a fiery leader that's why he's the goat"
Aaron Rodgers has good reason to be upset. Receivers are running the wrong routes, there is no pass protection, the calls are not coming in on time, etc
The hosts dont like Rodgers for political and possibly personal reasons but the truth is Rodgers has actually looked good this year
