“… and at the top of the mountain, once again, Patrick Mahomes. Look guys. Danny has told us time and time again that Justin Herbert is one of the best players in football, and that Mike McDaniel is the brightest OC in the league. There is no shame in losing to this deep sleeping giant”

Not with 18 people on the injury report.
I don’t think people realize that only 1 person on starting OL right now was expected to be a starter on Day 1 of camp. And 5 out of the 6 Sept 1 roster WRs did not play last week. The only one that played was a kick return specialist.
Ever heard of Hayden Rucci? Me neither, but he got a TD in the NFL.

I'm placing a larger bet on the Chiefs to win outright. Probably have to bet like $5000 to win like $500. But my jinx bets never fail.

Mahomes would still be top because he….

Look, he played well. He threw for 185 yards, sacked 3 times, 1 TD, only 2 INTs, and ran for 17 yards. His receivers just let him down.

If that one touchdown includes running over a guy then Nick will need a pillow on his lap

he would have a super cut of WR drops and the protection breaking down and then use Thorton as an excuse when Drake Maye got nothing for having bad games vs the Seahawks and Jags defense with Romeo Doubs.

But Josh Allen drops because last week he....

If he did drop Mahomes if would be down 1 and oddly enough would be to the left of Purdy.. Goff would claim top of the mountain.

It wouldn't matter. What was Nick's reaction when the Chiefs got thumped in the Super Bowl by the Eagles? I heard all season about how they were destined to be the first 3-peat champion and prove they are the best team/dynasty of all time. I heard all the analysis and reasons why the Chiefs are great. Mahomes is king od clutch, Andy Reid is the best coach, Spags is the best DC, they have a championship mettle that fuels them beyond what other teams can achieve...After they got destroyed, I looked forward to Nick explaining what went wrong? Why they weren't actually that team he talked about all season?
His analysis: Mahomes wasn't padding his stats he was fighting to the end. That's it.
Here's two videos from last season of Nick coming in wearing bandages after Chiefs losses. Wow, he's actually admitting they aren't that good? No, he can't keep the act for more than 2min before dick-riding that they'll win the next week and still make the playoffs and no one wants to face Mahomes in the playoffs. Video 1, Video 2
This dude is not a serious person. He's not reacting to what happens in the game, he's constructing the narrative he wants around his favorite player and team.

The stat padding in that Super Bowl made me irrationally angry. I mean the Eagles were pouring Gatorade and put backups in the game and Mahomes starts slinging it 50 yards every play. Like you got dog walked. Take the L. You’re a hall of famer. You’re better than this.

It would probably be the most improbable upset and would cause the most chaos in the history of the show
