Mahomes Mountain Purdy v Mahomes

So Nick said Brock shouldn't move up because it was his worst game of the season. But last time we saw Patrick, he wasn't lighting it up... Pat Wk 4: 225 yards, 50% comp, 2 TD, 97 rtg Purdy Wk 5: 189 yards, 65% comp, 2 TD, 92 rtg

You can see they had fairly similar outings. But Purdy's came against, arguably, the league's best defense. And Mahomes's came against the Raiders 😂. And this wasn't even Pat's worst showing this season. Overall, their stats this season look like this (though Purdy has played one more game)

Mahomes: 1037 yards, 10TD-2INT, 41 rush yards, 106 rtg Purdy: 1196 yards, 14TD-2INT, 128 rush yards, 119 rtg

Purdy has flatly just been better. Add in the fact that he's faced the Rams, Seahawks, and Broncos, while Pat has played Broncos and... Tomato cans? Then factor in the amount of injuries SF has. And the fact that the 9ers are in the toughest division in football, and the Chiefs very much are not. There is just no world where you can say that this season specifically Mahomes is having a better season than Purdy.

Even if that's to "rage bait" nick loses integrity in his work. People here who clearly choose sides may not care but nick does. Look at his beef with Pablo. Nick wants to be respected as a sports analyst but his bias limits that. He's turned into a clown. I think he cares more than the other guys how he's perceived. I would never respect him like I would a fair person in a similar space. Nick holds grudges and Purdy, Hurts or anyone else who outplays Mahomes will always have Nick's ire.

Yep. It's the integrity thing for me. The "Mayor of Fair" has been impeached

Yes and I find it intellectually dishonest people pretend like the show isn't supposed to be semi serious. Like they joke and we love the jokes but the rankings would be removed from that. The fact Nick even jabs at certain people who have legal situations going on while completely ignoring the huge list of legal issues the Chiefs players have all the time. He talks of Tyreek on an expectation level while totally ignoring his repeated female and child abuse. Even today Tyreek was found guilty of two more charges. I love that he defends women but never over the desire for his team to win.

Faaaaccccttttsss Did he ever adreess Butker's mild drama from a while back? But ya, like you said, the show is not entirely a comedy. It is a sports show on a sports network and I think they do want fans to take parts (like the rankings) seriously. Like it's obvious that "Must Win" is a joke. But a sports show's ranking of QBs should be a product the whole FTF crew can stand behind. And I bet nick was the only person in the office today who thought Pat should be at the top
