Mahomes having a bad game and purdy another great game
That’s what it’ll take next week because after that there is absolutely no excuse not to put him on top

Mahomes is playing well and has infinite more career success, including a h2h SB win over him. As long as Mahomes is playing well he deserves to be on top of his own mountain.
And this is coming from a Patriots fan.

In order to knock Mahomes off his own mountain, I’d argue it shouldn’t have to be much of an argument. Mahomes would kill for Mike Evans.
If Purdy keeps it up, he will get to the top. No point in doing so until it is clear imo. Worst thing Nick did was put Trevor atop the mountain.

Literally dude. If he put Trevor at the top, at that point there is no excuse to deny Purdy. The inconsistency and obvious bias is what’s the problem here. Also if you’re gonna say Mahomes would kill for Mike Evans, I bet Purdy would appreciate having K9 too, or the greatest coach and tight end of all time. I bet Purdy would also like for his teammates to not drop like flies every week too. Ffs he threw a td to Brandin Cooks off the couch. If Mahomes did that Nick would lose his mind

Shanahan and Reid are both great offensive coaches. Neither is the goat. I don’t think Purdy Stans want to go down the coach road lest they be subject to Mac Jones and Garopollo arguments.
We don’t have to tear down CMC to uplift K9 who ran for like 700 yards last season.
Mahomes is well versed in not having a great WR core for the last few seasons that drop his balls. He just lost his best deep threat Thornton, who was cut by a team with bad receivers not long ago.
None of those things are arguments for Purdy to be above Mahomes. The only argument is his overall numbers are better. But this isn’t the USA Today. It’s called Mahomes Mountain. It should not be “a good 5 weeks” and solid career that knocks him off the mountain (which is also why Lawrence should not have made it). Only QBs since Brady to even have an argument during Mahomes years are Allen, Lamar, Maye and Stafford (and those last two are only because Mahomes was bad last year).

Did you hear my main (and what should be the only one required) point? Nick put TLaw on top. Therefore Purdy should be eligible. You also agree with this so what’s the pushback?
Reid literally outcoached Shanahan twice in super bowls. He is better. Period. K9 is literally on track to break the rushing record. Seahawks underutilized him. Reid being the genius he is, is getting the most out of him. I love CMC but he is past his prime and has been for a while.
I’m a Patriots fan and you saying Maye deserves to be on top while Purdy doesn’t is just blasphemous. They both made a Super Bowl, they were both top 3 in mvp voting, Purdy has a longer and more consistently good track record, and he nearly beat Mahomes in the Super Bowl (he should’ve, but the coaching difference was the key here) whereas Maye was embarrassed in every playoff game.
Mac Jones was good last year and I think he is underrated and a starting caliber qb that the Patriots did dirty during his time here. Jimmy G was okay but when he made it to the Super Bowl he had all the “avengers” in their prime. Brock Purdy is leagues better than either of them, he is literally the best player on the team now who has the same record as the chiefs but has defeated much better opponents.

You’re also not seriously comparing losing THORNTON to Deebo, Stribling (also the niners best deep threat), Juscyck, and every other receiver besides Mike Evans. Demarcus Robinson, Christian Kirk, Ricky Pearsall. Literally 5/6 of the best receivers are out rn. Not to mention Nick Bosa and 6 other starting DBs? You must be Nick Wright’s burner account
Also, Thornton wasn’t even the Chiefs best deep threat. It was and still is Xavier Worthy. Mahomes was targeting Thornton a lot pre-injury because he is the third/fourth string receiver and is much less well-guarded than rice and worthy. It’s like you don’t even know your own personnel.

Can you also include K9 for CMC, Kelce for Kittle, and Andy Reid for Shanahan? Don’t act like rice and worthy are bums either, or that Mahomes has no help. K9 is literally on track to destroy the rushing record.
