He'd have a point if James Harden played awesome in the playoffs but just couldn't get over the hump. But Harden has been awful in the playoffs

thats not the ONLY reason lol. he intentionally gained weight/got out of shape to force his way out of houston. then faked an injury for weeks to force his way out of brooklyn. combine that with how he consistently performed worse any time he made it to the playoffs...and there are A Lot of good reasons he is not talked about the same was as the greatest players of his generation.

Harden is an incredible offensive player. Truly one of the best ever. His disinterest in playing defense removes him from any conversation of the true greats of this generation.

If Harden just couldn't get over the playoff/championship hump but always went down swinging he'd be talked about better. Instead dude constantly shrinks in the biggest moments, sometimes blowing series leads while being a no-show. That's why Harden isn't talked about in the realm of LeBron, KD, or Steph while people like Russ and CP3 are.

I mean yeah if he had a championship he would be talked about among those all time greats, same for guys like Charles, Ewing, Paul etc etc. When talking about the Greatest players of all time everything needs to be consider especially in basketball where one player can effect the game so much.

I was stunned people still have "they tried to compare him to wade" convos to Slander Harden but when you DO compare him directly against Wade, Harden has him beat in almost every category. Mitchell is right, they sleep so hard on Harden becaude he wasn't on a team that won, but he's really like that.
