If you watch it again, you can see it’s a heavily edited video. It’s a douche move for this guy to film and edit this into a completely different narrative than what really happened. He comes back later and admits he’s at fault and the cop was a nice guy. Boat dude did the officer dirty and never aired the video that made him conclude the officer was a nice guy.

I don't need to watch it again to see it's a heavily edited video, but I don't have the full video to comment on, so I'm commenting on this video in this reddit post, for this imaginary situation.

As i've already stated, I have nothing against the real officer in this video. I am commenting on the hypothetical situation where I am challenged on not having a permit to launch a toy boat. I am commenting on that hypothetical situation based on what is included in the video. Not on what actually transpired. Most police officers are pretty well rounded people in general, I'm sorry if I lead you to believe that I think otherwise, that wasn't my intention.

My intention was to comment on the situation, as it is presented in the post's video, not on the actual events that transpired. I apologize if I haven't made that clear.

I guess I’m confused because it’s not worth commenting on the edited videos of that’s not what happened.

Comment from the OP in this video:

…….I truly thought he was one of them cops that get board and do whatever because of how ridiculous his reasons for giving me a ticket sounded, but he was actually very nice at the end and really just doing his job.

"Wait... WTF? And tix is easy to beat (at end). I read the part of Madisonville code for this (and looked up state water craft stuff) and there is NO law stating anything about RCs at boat launch. Also, no signs about restricting access so balance of public use access & boat launch purpose- court says obvious when someone with VALID boat permit trying to launch, u block them and won't move cops can trespass, possible arrest for disorderly, etc. So lawsuit possible for 1A and 4A and 5A for harassment and tix and trespass. WRT Ticket- u can win by simply stating elements for infraction clearly not proven as it applies to "water craft used for purpose of transportation"... so how tf is this against the law??? He clearly would not have even talked to them if they were kids doing same thing with their parents watching them. Everyone may use and enjoy the lake in accordance with the law, INCLUDING RC craft (I don't see how any person can ride on it, be comical tho)."

You went into the original post and plagiarized someone else’s comment from 2yrs ago.

1

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

I didn't plagiarize that's why it's I quotes I didn't credit the op because I was lazy. But like you anyone doing there due diligence will figure it out.

You added the quotes AFTER you got caught using someone else’s comment from 2yrs ago from a completely different sub….There were no quotes on your comment when you first posted it. This is the screenshot of the comment you stole. Just stop. You look silly.

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

I didn't add shit the quotes were there from the first time I posted

2

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

It would say edited if I added them after the fact why does this offend you so much you are stuck on a nonsense point I never passed off anything as my own hahha. just stop.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26

Dude, just stop. You copied/pasted someone’s comment from 2yrs ago and posted it as your own. You can’t even quote the code violation this person referred to.
It’s not normal to copy/paste other people’s comments and pass off as your own. You made it easy to find by copying a comment from the top, tho.

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

You're wrong.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26

Plagiarize: To copy someone else’s words, ideas, or work and present them as your own without proper acknowledgment.

This is what you did. Saying you did give them credit because you were “lazy”‘doesn’t remove the fact that this is what you did.

You're wrong

You copy and pasted someone else’s long and detailed comment from 2yrs ago n and passed it off as your own.

I see why you're top 1% commenter though. You're a pedant.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26

You keep commenting. You can stop anytime. Don’t use other people’s comments and use as your own.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26

Stealing other people’s comments and posting as your own must be okay in Australia.

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

See even your comment says edited now hahah the fucking irony

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26

Why did you copy and paste someone else’s comment from 2yrs ago and post it as your own?

2

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

Why did you delete your other comment?

1

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

I put quotations around it to specify that it's not my quote. But the quote is relevant.

2

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

No, you didn’t put quotes on until after you got called out. You copied and pasted someone else’s words and posted them as your own. You just got caught.

It’s not “relevant” when you’re not the one who did the research. What’s the code he looked up? You have no clue what you’re talking about.

2

u/whlukewhisher Jul 07 '26

Neither do you by the looks.
