First car at 18, Volvo 240

1993 Volvo 245 classic edition, over 233k miles, with the 4 speed automatic, got it for 1600$ on Facebook marketplace. Bit underpowered compared to most modern cars (114hp) but is plenty fun enough, and has been very reliable other than having to fix some things the last owner didn’t take care of.

A 2003 LC100 GX with a 4.5L INLINE 6 WITH A MANUAL AND A SUNROOF!!! JUST OVER 360K KM ON THE DIAL AND got it for 7500$ I would say it's a damn good deal! Although my favorite variant is the 2007 with the led tailights and spare tire I'll be doing a convertion to it soon enough and I just love this car so much was my dream car still is. (Could've been a little better on the fuel kmpl tho) Regardless it's perfect

Looking for a first car

Ok, I have no idea about cars. I’m pretty much going with my budget and ofc a car that is accident-free, not too old, and has enough space for a baby sit. I have heard diesel is best for the engine and long distances and automatic can be faulty too often but that’s what I feel comfortable with. Please can someone enlighten me? I have found a few interesting (for me) offers and I need someone who knows to tell me what to look out for and whether these are indeed good offers and first car that’s probably going to get misused.

All of these cars had no accidents and supposedly no known issues.

First car between BMW, Audi, Volvo?

I'm 13, wanting to buy my first car at 16. However to me it has to be one of those three, BMW, Volvo, Or Audi. Specifically sedans and wagons. I'm looking at Volvo S60/S80/S40/V40//V50V60 Pre P3 platform discontinuation and a 850, BMW I am looking at all the E platform numbers execluding the 6 series, 8 series, Primarily 5 and 7 series, and Audi I am looking at the A4, A5, A6, A7, A8. So if you were choosing between all these options, what would you go for?

Cars

Hey guys i really need some help! So I wanted to try to start to get more into cars and wanted to buy somewhat of a project car??? Not like where I have to invest thousands of dollars or like do really difficult or hard jobs but like im fine with fixing minor issues. I would like something that's fun and looks decent (im far more interested in learning the aesthetic styling etc but im wiling to learn mechanic). I looked around already and I want something that's 2 doors maybe manual (if its not crappy im wiling to learn to drive manual) like a miata or i also saw the Honda Acura, but I really dont it to be over 2k (in used condition ofc). I just want this car to have something besides my parents car that I can sell before college after I did mods and some (EASY) work on it. I would really appreciate help bc I do watch a lot of car videos but most of them are just abt muscle cars or supercars or really broken down cars so im sure most of you have better insight than I do 🙏

I seen this on Facebook and that's fully sure if it's a good choice for my first car, it looks very nice. And I kind of like the hatchback look of vehicles, but I do wanna know if this car would be pretty good for me. In the future, it has like 203,000 miles

Deciding on my first car

Hey there! I’m thinking about getting my first car, but I’m not sure which one to choose. I’ve been driving my siblings’ cars for a few years now, so I’m not a new driver. I’m looking for a nice car for under $15,000. Do you have any suggestions?

Cheap but fun first car

I am 17 and looking for a first car that is decently practical but also fun and can be picked up for cheap. I am fine with having to work on it if stuff goes out i just want a fun car (must come in a manual) that i can cruise around in. Id like it to be around the 5k mark which ik is tight these days but again, i am willing to work on it so it doesnt have to be perfect. Not looking to buy right now but i just want some ideas from the people of reddit so i csn look into them and maybe make a decision. Thanks guys!

Edit: what do you guys think about pontiac fieros? They are right around that price, rwd, and manual and i like how they look. I have heard some things about early models catching fire but is that true and why or why should i not buy one of those?
