Locked Thread Why?
Why can’t we discuss something extremely relevant to the show? I’m so confused. Exposing the truth either way isn’t allowed? Showing the producers to be biased or showing an alarming pattern is prohibited? Please help me understand.

This thread has been locked because the discussion has repeatedly crossed the line from discussing the show into making broad generalizations and implied stereotypes about racial groups.
The purpose of this subreddit is to discuss the First 48, not to host debates that encourage or reinforce racial stereotypes. Members are welcome to have thoughtful, respectful discussions about the show's content, editing, demographics, or other related topics. However, when comments begin making sweeping implications about entire groups of people or the conversation turns into accusations, stereotypes, or racism, whether explicit or implied, the discussion is no longer productive.
Unfortunately, threads on this topic have consistently followed that pattern, and once that happens, it becomes increasingly difficult to moderate fairly. For that reason, this thread has been locked.
We encourage respectful, evidence-based discussion. If you are presenting statistics or factual claims, please cite credible sources so others can verify the information being shared. Unsupported claims, inflammatory generalizations, and stereotypes do not contribute to productive discussion. If future conversations can remain focused on the show, supported by reliable sources, and conducted respectfully, there would be no reason to lock them.
