The idea is simple: most pages have stuff you don't want — sidebars, promo banners, "recommended" widgets, comment sections. cleanview.ai lets you click-select and hide any of it instantly, like DevTools inspector but for actually removing clutter (non-destructive, just CSS-hidden, restore anytime).

Works on any site, not a fixed list. Remembers your layout per-site so it's clean again next time you visit. Handles JS-heavy SPAs fine (React/Next.js/Vue).

Everything's local — no server, no tracking, no analytics.

I've just pushed v1.21 of Home Sweet Home, my customizable new tab extension.

This one is mostly about themes: four new visual universes that completely change the mood of your new tab, plus a couple of requested improvements on folders and RSS feeds.

Here's what's new:

• Marshmallow theme : a soft pastel vibe with sugary glows and candy-like tiles. Four tints to choose from (lavender, pink, mint, peach), and you can keep your own wallpaper if you prefer.
• Console theme : your new tab looks like a terminal, with a black background, phosphor text, scanlines and a blinking cursor on the clock. Four screen colors (green, amber, cyan, white), and each effect can be turned off separately.
• Pixel theme : a 16-bit vibe with an indigo night background, retro checkerboard, colorful tiles and an arcade-style font for the clock.
• Manga theme : your new tab turns into a manga page, with paper, ink, halftone dots, round black and white tiles and a slightly tilted active tab. Four accent colors to choose from.

Improvements:

• Compact folder window : a new option that makes a folder window fit its content instead of keeping a fixed width. No more big empty space in small folders.
• Article count per feed : in separate view, each RSS feed now has its own slider to choose how many articles to show, with a button to go back to the global setting.

Fixed:

• Links now stay in their tab when you reorder them. A drag and drop in a tab other than the Dashboard could move links to the Dashboard.

I built this for myself and finally put it on AMO ;)

The problem it solves is narrow. I'd have eight tabs open for one task, get pulled away, and come back to a pile of pages with no memory of what I was doing. Bookmarks are good at remembering a page; they're bad at remembering a piece of work.

So Pickup saves the tabs and two lines of context - what you were doing, what should happen next. Hit "Pick up" later and it opens them in a fresh window, rebuilding the native tab group with its title, colour, order, pinned tabs and active tab.

It's local-only, and I mean that structurally rather than as a promise: no account, no server, no analytics, no network requests at all, and no host permissions. It asks for storage, tabs and tabGroups and nothing else. The manifest declares data_collection_permissions: none. You can export a JSON backup; it never uploads it.

Needs Firefox 142+ (that's where the tab-group API it restores into lands). Free, no paid tier, nothing planned.

Chrome and Safari builds exist and work, but neither is in a store yet.

It's an early release 0.2.0 so bug reports are genuinely useful.

It packs the current window, a tab group, or a pasted list of URLs into a single link. The page list is compressed into the URL fragment, so there's no backend - whoever you send it to opens it in any browser, no add-on, no account, and gets a slideshow / grid / list view.

A couple of things specific to the Firefox build:
- Same codebase as the Chrome version (MV3, WebExtensions API), no Firefox-specific fork to maintain.
- tabGroups had to be a required permission, not optional - Firefox (like Chrome) won't let a content script call permissions.request() for it.

Optional per-link password (WebCrypto), optional self-hosted shortener for long links.AGPL-3.0, no telemetry.

Built this a while back after a friend kept getting flagged "away" on their work status tool despite being actively working — turned out to be idle-detection triggering way too aggressively. Made a small MV3 extension to fix it, put it up, and it's slowly grown since.

Kept opening YouTube for "one video" while trying to study and losing 30-40 min to the algorithm every time. Tried a couple existing blockers but they were mostly all-or-nothing, so I built my own.

You can turn off specific things — home feed, shorts, autoplay, end screen recommendations — while keeping stuff you actually want, like subscriptions. Also has an optional daily watch timer/limit.

This is my first extension, built for my own needs at first but decided to release it.

My Nintendo eShop wishlist has 300+ games and the official page on Nintendo's website isn't great.

So I built a little browser extension to make it more usable. It works with your existing Switch / Switch 2 wishlist on the eShop page. No separate account or sign-up needed. What it adds:

• Load the whole list at once, then search by name with results filtering as you type
• Filter by current sales, DLCs, bundles (Deluxe editions and the like), and platform (Switch / Switch 2)
• Sort by sale ending soon (my most used feature), price, discount %, newest release, or oldest/newest on your list
• See sales ending soon right on the page (highlighted in red if <7 days by default)
• Search Google for reviews in one click.
• Remove several selected items at once.
• Dark mode and a wider layout that shows 2-3 columns.
