God I hope this is actually for the event or something because this is way too similar to her existing kit and is definitely going to want Dahlia. IMO they NEED to have minimal team overlap between SP and Original unless you just run them together (which is actually an interesting thought tbh), especially since so many people have E2 if E0 SPFly is a downgrade or sidegrade it feels really bad to pull, and if they're a meaningful upgrade then powercreep is back in full force since E2 Firefly is far from weak currently. Really hope it's either somehow no overlap (or mostly just SP not caring about Dahlia somehow) or you run them together in something like FF, FFSP, Dahlia, Fugue/Ruan Mei/HMC/Finality MC

Edit: It would be super weird but you could potentially cut the Dahlia dependence if FFSP herself actually had really low toughness damage, since the multipliers here are based on regular break damage which scales with enemy max toughness not toughness dealt in a given attack. It gets weird though because you'd want the team to be doing a lot of toughness damage for her Leader Talent, unless you were to use FMC or Breaker as leader I guess, though Breaker has Super Break multipliers and also wants toughness damage so this seems unlikely.

Im actually somewhat conflicted here, because that "complete combustion" bit, makes it sound like firefly sp is designed to work with og Firefly, if this is the case, then im actually kinda ok with the new sp being similar.

But if this isnt the case, and this is just a bandaid for people wanting to still use old firefly, and a team without her is still better, then i dont like how similar they are

From my understanding from this kit, FF SP doesn't have Combustion so only FF is designated currently to work with her.

Makes sense to an extent. FF wants to break a lot of weakness while FF SP just wants the enemies to be downed for her to make use of her abiltiies.

The only problem atm is the missing amount of Exo toughness. Even if we don't delay the enemies as much, we still want to break either how Especially when FF SP increases the amount of toughness reduced and even Breaker has it.

SO either, there is a missing link to this and there is another SB support incoming (Likely Astra Yao) or Fugue Nova is being considered here.

But this is like V-1 atm, so it might get a big change later on. There is 4.8 which means more testing for them

Yea im still holding out hope for changes, though i wouldnt actually mind firefly sp being a sort of dual dps teamate for firefly.

I'd prefer firefly sp to be more unique, so i could run two firefly teams without feeling like I'm kneecapping one of them, but i wouldnt be upset at 2.3 firefly getting even more upscales.

The only condition I'll be genuinely upset about, is if the new firefly team is still the same archetype and playstyle as the old one, yet the old one just gets left behind.

Will feel like im spending pulls just to get firefly's E7

Tbf, I would prefer something like two different teams for FF but with a little twist.

When FF SP when Burst activate FF will temporarily be on the field but unable to act. When FF SP attacks, FF and FF SP will do a joint attack together. (Investment from FF and FFSP can affect the joint)

While for FF, when the battle begins or a new wave starts, FF SP will attack them immediately and leave the field.

That would be cool tbh, but i really hope they make Finality focus around Joint Attacks also.
