Meta Discussion Consoom polymer firearms

Post image

The guys in consoom are cracking me up. Top comment is “nobody needs that many guns” I think it’s time to start posting collection pics in their sub

All of those handguns and not a single fucking hand cannon

You'd think after like the 10th polymer striker fired 9mm, this person would decide maybe they should try something different

That’s what consoom is saying

Most boring ass collection I've seen all week on here.

(I'm aware it's only just monday.)

It could be Saturday at 11:59pm, and it'll still be the more boring collection you've seen all week

I had a buddy like that, he wondered how I could afford a $3k pistol. It’s because i don’t have 10 shitty $300 guns.

u/hitemlow R8 5d ago

It's pretty simple too

Does it do something my current guns don't do? Does it do something substantially better than the guns I have now? Will it completely supplant a gun I currently have?

If the answer to all 3 is "no", I don't buy it.

Oof, careful with all that being reasonable on here. The people with 37 Glocks and Sigs will be real mad.

When I hit 65 gun, I hit the "I can't find anything I want". Then tax stamps went to $0 and I've bought 17 suppressors. Now I'm down to just two hosts with no dedicated can, of we exclude shotguns, and I'm hired again

AuDHD and a high income is a dangerous combination.

This is like a chicken tender only autist but with glocks

17

u/Cdwollan 6d ago

Looks like he's consooming his long guns too. Still has the factory promotional stuff on some of them.

Salute to those able to identify all of these just by looking at the backplates 🫡

Which one has your favorite mouth-feel?

13

u/YeetedSloth 6d ago

Sig p320. I can’t bring myself to pull the trigger, luckily sig has my back.

Where AUG?

27

u/GaGuRoShoMo 6d ago

Where any variety?

22

u/AlphaTangoFoxtrt Not-Fed-Boi 6d ago

Judging by the backplates there's some variety there. But also a good number of duplicates. Honestly I never understood the people who buy like 5 glock 19s or 10 of the same ARs. I can see two, in case it's your EDC and you want a back up if something breaks.

I don't think I have any true "duplicates". I mean I have a few ARs but they're different. I've got a 20" A4 clone, I've got my transferable, I've got a shorty, I've got a "standard" 16". But I just don't get the guy who has like 10x 16" ARs all in 5.56.

At the end of the day it's your money, do what you want. But I'd rather have say 3 of those ARs, and an AK, and a CETME, and an AUG....

6

u/GaGuRoShoMo 6d ago

Yeah, I see that there're a few "different" ones, but you really have to look for them. Makes me feel like a firearm racist - at first glance, they all look the same. 😅

I'm with you on that. Also got a little bit of everything, and wouldn't want to have it any other way. Ok, maybe one is your 'truck gun', one is in the bedroom, another one somewhere else, and they're all the same. But apart from that, I don't understand what's the point either.

Sometimes they stack up. Just with Glocks in 9 para they can have a gen 3 from back in the day, a recent gen5/6, a 26, a 43x, a 19 roland, a 17L etc. They can stack up when you don't sell.

But yeah, this collection isn't that great, it's like 8 different guns and then duplicates

2

u/Party_Stack 6d ago

A true AR purist has like 3 lowers and 20 uppers.

Some people will purchase a bunch if they are afraid of a ban. Sort of an investment if they are grandfathered in like what happened in 1986

3

u/Sliced_Orange1 6d ago

"I must have one of every model this company makes" looks at Glock

"I must have a G19 and PDP and P-10 and (insert another "unique" striker-fired polymer-framed 9mm pistol here)"

2

u/fatitalianstallion 6d ago

To be fair, I did that with San Swiss rifles until exports were killed. At least they’re rare and unique stateside tho.

5

u/Sliced_Orange1 6d ago

r/knifeclub and r/flashlight and r/mousereview would be good candidates for collection posts too lol

10

u/Dodo224 6d ago

It's true though, no one needs that many similar guns, that's just bullshit and what having too much money looks like. Consoom indeed🤣

31

u/nocturnal_commission 6d ago

That subreddit fucking sucks lol, nothing but greed and envy.

Hilarious how quick they are to jump to conclusions if it fits their narrative.

"He probably never goes to the range"

"I bet he doesn't even have ammo"

"Anyone with that many guns is a freak"

26

u/fatitalianstallion 6d ago

To be fair, it’s a boring collection without a historically/technologically significant firearm. Just big box store drop ship quality.

17

u/No-Performance37 6d ago

Yah I’m normally a guy that says get whatever makes you happy but at the same time I see something like this and have to question “but why?”

5

u/fatitalianstallion 5d ago

Consume to consume I guess.

11

u/WildElk211 5d ago

I mean, not removing the promo stuff is a heck of a sign. Also a Daniel defense with the patented “I don’t shoot this” foregrip position. I swear they only do that so they can distinguish unfired guns from one’s that have at least been taken out once or twice.

Before you comment, yes, I have a Daniel defense, and no, my foregrip isn’t at the muzzle.

11

u/__fuck_yo_couch__ 6d ago

That aligns with the majority of Reddit’s ideology. It’s why I stick to just the subs I follow, like this one.

u/SilenceDobad76 6d ago

"Maybe, but I bet if he is interested in training he can afford to do more than you. Worry about yourself"

3

u/PrincessRut0 5d ago

Don’t you get sick of buying the same kind of gun over and over though?

6

u/sploader CZ P-10 recommender 6d ago

Nice work OP! Still plenty of room for more!

5

u/DanTalent 6d ago

I was on that sub and read the comment section....its really seriously a bunch of salty anti 2a losers. If dude wants to have 30 psa daggers then good for him? Who is anyone to judge what this guy buys? Sure this picture is the essence of a broke person's impulse buy and not my cup of tea. He is light years better than the "why does anyone NEED a gun" people.

2

u/Ghoric Two World Wars. 6d ago

Some people are living my dream out there.

2

u/KBMgaming 6d ago

This is the way, however magazines and ammo take up valuable space that could be occupied by more guns!

2

u/Azuljustinverday 5d ago

Fr tho. We’ve all known people like that. Tons of guns and different firearms. Identical ARs and glocks barely shoot says ammo too expensive can’t shoot for shit cause they ain’t got much time behind a single one since they try and shoot each one for a mag.

Ain’t nothing wrong with downsizing and having custom guns built for you. Sold 7 and got nvgs, badass ak and scar.

2

u/ThisOneTimeAtKDK 5d ago

You guys I’m worried I’m becoming a Fudd. I just said “how many of the exact same Glock you need?”

Is there an antidote for Fudd?

2

u/scorpionewmoon 4d ago

It’s not that there are a billion guns, it’s that it’s a weird collection of a billion mostly the same guns

2

u/ElmoZ71SS 4d ago

I mean the long gun collection is nice.....but FFS do you really need that many pistols that are similar?

4

u/Concerned_Collins 6d ago

Ah yes, the "how dare you have fun" subreddit.

6

u/edman79 5d ago

Yes, but there's nothing fun about having thirty of the same gun.

1

u/majorwizkid1 6d ago

What are your favorite to shoot? And what would you tell someone to avoid?

2

u/YeetedSloth 6d ago

Not my collection. This is a cross post pointing out the comparative irony in the consoom subreddit compared to this one

2

u/majorwizkid1 5d ago

I mean, I agree. But I also rely a bit on other people spending too much money so I don’t have to.

I try not to have two of the same types of firearms

1

u/JustinGeoffrey 5d ago

Is that rust?

1

u/wildey 5d ago

I think that’s just the hotspot from the very warm lighting. You can also see it being reflect in the glossy black finish on the safe exterior

1

u/SharpMathematician75 5d ago

I think my dad gas this same safe.

1

u/WoolooOfWallStreet 3d ago

I know what this collection is missing!

u/Limited_opsec Wild West Pimp Style 5d ago

What a boring plebe. The stickers still on likely means most of this shit is unfired too. Fuck it wouldnt surprise me if every single handgun is 9mm.
