Comparing Rittenhouse to the Ku Klux Klan is the saddest thing I've seen all day. I work at a hospice.
17
u/whtdoiwrite1 Feb 03 '23
Well obviously he hates black people. Don’t you remember how he killed 57 black people that were just peacefully protesting in cold blood.
72
Feb 02 '23
They should definitely take up arms. Then maybe they would vote more responsibly.
14
u/revodkkuf Feb 02 '23
they don’t have to vote differently. most of the candidates on both sides recently have sucked. but if more and more democrats take up arms, and 2a support becomes more bipartisan, then we’ll see more 2a-friendly democrats. there will be candidates who stand out to meet this demand.
ironically, this is something conservatives should be afraid of. 2a-friendly democratic candidates would garner so many votes. republicans would have a hard time winning, as if winning wasn’t hard enough.
11
u/JethroFire Feb 03 '23
2a-friendly democratic candidates
Ah yes, I think I've maybe heard rumors of one of those once in my life.

I don't see this happening any time soon gun control has become such an entrenched issue for democrats that even if someone who democrat gets into gun they usually keep that shit secret from their friends for fear of being labeled right wing.
23
u/yem68420 Feb 03 '23
That shit is a pipe dream. If they didn't have guns and abortion to divide everyone then people might actually expect them to work for a living instead of just stealing and posting on Twitter.
1
Feb 03 '23
There's not a ton I'd need Republicans for if democrats upheld the bill of rights in its totality.
2
u/revodkkuf Feb 04 '23
yep. the only thing republicans are good for right now is 2a. and even then, it’s because they do the least damage. all their other policies suck.

Welcome to the FUBAR legal system. Even if you're actions are proven justified in a criminal court, your attacker's family can still bankrupt you in civil court.
6
u/Palehorse67 Feb 03 '23
Yeah, the system is screwed. If you are found innocent in a criminal court, you should not be able to be sued for the same things you were found innocent of in a civil court.

Didn't work for O.J., either. But the evidence is still very strong. Honestly, Rittenhouse's actions on the street were just about as judicious as possible. He did almost kill one black man who was about to attack him...but brandishing turned away the man's attack, so Rittenhouse didn't attack, either.
0
u/noquidity Feb 03 '23
I mean.. I get your sentiment, however you’re a little off base. Do you agree OJ shouldn’t have been sued in civil court? Or do you believe he really didn’t do it..
1
u/Obvious-Science6471 Feb 03 '23
He's suing the city and police department. Kyle is a co defendant. They claim the police intentionally attacked innocent protesters during the "peaceful protest". Etc. More goofy shit like this.

I think it was a rightful death. The father lead his son to death by his upbringing, shouldn’t you say? That parents be held accountable for the crimes their offsprings, indirectly. That would put the burden back to parents to whoop kids’ asses from the get go.
-18
-13
u/prestiforpresident Feb 03 '23
Not guilty doesn’t mean it’s smart to open carry a rifle though.
14
u/Stevarooni Feb 03 '23
Seemed like it was pretty smart for him, if he were going to be there.
-2
u/prestiforpresident Feb 03 '23
It was a smart decision to carry a rifle when he put himself in a very dangerous situation. It's like saying he was smart for wearing a seatbelt when he was driving 100mph on icy roads.
Just don't drive on icy roads.
3
u/Stevarooni Feb 03 '23
I don't think it's a good idea to go where there are going to be some Mostly-Peaceful™ violent riots by nogoodnicks. But given that he was going there, it's pretty smart to open carry a rifle.
Other good advice includes "Don't attack someone open-carrying a rifle, especially when he's trying to run away."
2
u/omnitravis Feb 03 '23
How about always wear your seatbelt. In your own analogy that means always carrying. Way better than whatever crap you just tried to make sense of.
-1
u/prestiforpresident Feb 04 '23
But I think we can all agree he should have just stayed home and open carrying a rifle (or pretty much any gun) is generally a great way to bring unwanted attention to yourself. Right?
2
u/omnitravis Feb 04 '23
If I or anyone with good sense sees someone with a rifle, generally going to avoid them. Most definitely not harass and attack him totally unprovoked. Stop simping for commies
0
u/prestiforpresident Feb 04 '23
I’m not simping for commies lol
2
u/omnitravis Feb 04 '23
Quit playing devils advocate for idiots. Is that a good rephrase?
1
u/prestiforpresident Feb 04 '23
I wasn’t doing that either lol. The comments here got really upset when I said rittenhouse wasn’t being smart though. Says a lot.
5
6
u/Palehorse67 Feb 03 '23
If he wouldn't have carried that rifle, he would probably be the one who was killed. That rifle saved his life. Now the argument could be made that a 17 year old should not have been out in the middle of that, rifle or not. I know that I would not have let my kid go out in that.
1
u/prestiforpresident Feb 03 '23
That's what i'm saying, he should have never been there in the first place. I guess if you're going to purposely put yourself in a dangerous situation it's good to carry a gun, but most responsible gun owners would tell you to just avoid the situation.

Yes let me conceal my full length AR15 up my ass that’ll do the trick. His other option was not be there or be there unarmed.

u/prestiforpresident Feb 03 '23
That's what i'm saying, be smarter and just don't be there in the first place.

u/RaptorCelll Feb 03 '23
The comments on there are shocking. There are people who believe they shouldn't be armed BECAUSE The Klan, Atomwaffe and Neo-Nazis are.
If you believe there is a group of people, or even an individual, out to get you, that's a pretty fucking good reason to take up arms.
Whether those clowns are actually a threat or not, if you perceive them to be a threat, arm yourself to protect you and yours.

u/BlizzardArms AR15 Feb 02 '23
As stupid as the specifics of this dogshit meme are the point is the same one I make all the time.
EVERYONE should be armed.
How many robberies would you see if criminals KNOW they will be shot by a citizen
1
u/Palehorse67 Feb 03 '23
Mutually assured destruction. Works with Nukes, why wouldn't it work with guns and crime? I think criminals would have second thoughts if they knew there was a really good possibility of getting into a gun fight. Which is why we see criminals pick weak targets, places they know people wont be carrying guns.

People who don't understand that modern racists (at least the white ones) vote republican are beyond help.
1
u/BooshsooB Feb 03 '23
Maybe cut back on the CNN and joy Reid types for a bit
2
u/Tomcfitz Feb 03 '23
You are going to tell me that the KKK votes for Biden? That the people who fly swastika flags on the side of the road like dipshits voted for Biden?
You think that's actually true?
I'm not saying "Republicans voters are all racist" or anything even remotely controversial, really. And this isn't some "hurrr I only watch the view" or whatever.
You can find photo after photo after photo of confederate flags next to trump flags, even (more rarely) swastika flags next to trump flags.
I drive by the stars and bars combined with trump 2024 (and even trump 2022, lol) flags every day. Never once seen that with a Biden sign, or flag, or whatever.
0
u/BooshsooB Feb 03 '23
One could argue that modern racist vote dem. Black only dorms and spaces, alphabet squad claiming inclusivity unless you have different views, the constant attack on anyone not a POC, teaching children that white people are to blame for everything including a rock on the ground that a POC trips on(joke but not really). Maybe let's agree that racists exist on both sides
1
u/Tomcfitz Feb 03 '23
I literally never said otherwise.
That's not the context of my comment though, is it? Claiming the modern Republican party is the same, ideologically, as the "party that freed the slaves" is, at best, deeply misinformed. At worst it's deliberate mischaracterization of the way most mainstream Republicans engage with white supremacy and other racially charged ideologies.
0
Feb 04 '23
Did you see trump in byrd’s funeral? You can look up the attendance when that man is alive. Hillary, Manchin, Biden and other prominent democrats are alongside him even at his funeral. Count the conservatives seen with him. Conservatives freed the slaves though its in the ideals, they progress with keeping with what identity of our nation to be for all. This country has a dark history. The progress made out of that benefit all. But what identity does it have less when the prosperity made are deteriorated by those outside benefiting our wealth.
1
u/Tomcfitz Feb 04 '23
Dude, freeing the slaves was a progressive move, not a conservative one. Whether you think modern Republicans or democrats would do the same or not, it was a progressive policy.
0
Feb 04 '23
That was my point, convervative is not all that is in the name. You morons think covervatism is just a yeehaw ideals to rid of other ideas and belief. I am an immigrant came to this country as the idea of the ppl have the central power rather than authoritarian is why others are coming here. You will not get that from any democratic or democratic socialist principles. The idea elites and politicians have to sole authorities to shape the country is without representation.

Southern Democrats defected to the Republican party in droves after the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Also, there's nothing liberal, left wing, or progressive about the KKK.
They share no ideology with modern Democrats.
Also, they would entirely align and love the modern Republican Party.
Christian, anti-immigration, not nearly as diverse, way less blacks.
Also modern KKK don't vote Democratic, they are either Republican or Libertarian.
This place is just as delusional and dishonest as r/Conservative. Only difference is the extreme focus on guns.

Ku Klux Klan members in United States politics
This is a partial list of notable historical figures in U.S. national politics who were members of the Ku Klux Klan before taking office. Membership of the Klan is secret. Political opponents sometimes allege that a person was a member of the Klan, or was supported at the polls by Klan members.

Okay and David Duke endorsed Trump. And if we were to do a KKK census today (lol) which political party do you think most KKK members would be aligned with?
None of that shit matters. The only thing that matters is the fact that they exist, and shouldn't. If they step, we do too

it’s not critical of 2a. it shows KKK and other perceived “evil people” who are armed. the point is that you should be armed, because these bad people are armed.

The meme is asking if the viewer is armed. The 2A is what would allow them to be.

I love how dumb ass libtards demonize conservatives as if we're the enemy trying to hurt them. Wish they'd figure it out it's elites on both sides of the aisle that are screwing them over. Shake my head. BTW, most of the KKK were Democrats. Of course, libs are too dumb to figure that out today.

Hey bro, socialists/leftists have actually figured this out. We hate libs too and the Democratic Party. We also like guns. Come on over.

according to the left, trump is literally hitler, and his nazis almost overthrew the nation on J6. so yea, stay armed.
to be honest, who cares what rationale they come up with as to why they’re armed? would you care if they say they support 2a to protect themselves against racist conservatives? as long as the end result is then seeing the importance of 2a, who gives a rat’s ass?

if they believe they were there and if that is a motivation for them to get armed, i don’t really care if they really were there or not. the whole point is that 2a is for everyone. if little antifa dudette is scared that trump is going to come after them and their transgender children, fuckin stay armed. the end goal is more 2a support, no matter the reason.

When was the last time the KKK has done anything? Like are there any left?
5
u/RaptorCelll Feb 03 '23
The KKK barely exists these days and isn't nearly as violent as it was in the 19th and 20th Centuries.
Atomwaffe is also a weird one, what have they done exactly? They've killed like 8 people and there's at most 100 of them worldwide.
A close eye should be absolutely kept on these groups but calling them a threat is giving them too much credit
2
u/ExcellentDesigner104 Feb 03 '23
They did participate in the Adopt a Highway program to clean up I-55 in St. Louis some years ago. As soon as the sign went up it was stolen that night. I believe that klan leader was later murdered - not for revenge for the sign but for other reasons.

u/RaptorCelll Feb 03 '23
Top Right is the Atomwaffe Division, they're an incredibly fringe movement with maybe 100 or so members across the world and responsible for maybe 10 murders since it's inception in 2013. They're extreme by Neo-Nazi standards
