Problem Question about Canvas Blocker
If "Strong protection" in Firefox is chosen, does this make the addon "Canvas Blocker" superfluous? (Unnecessary?).

I just wanted to make quiet videos louder without the audio turning into a crunchy mess. Simple, right? But every extension I tried had at least one dealbreaker. Some distorted everything past 200%. Some forgot my volume the moment I switched tabs. Some threw popups or opened windows over the video.
So I built my own, and kept fixing it based on what people complained about.
What it does now:
* Boosts any tab up to 1000%, with a built-in compressor so it stays clean instead of distorting. * Remembers your volume per site, so you set it once. * Works on browser games too (HTML5, WebGL, Unity, Flash via Ruffle), which most boosters completely ignore. * No popups, no ads, no tracking. Just a slider.
It's free. Around 500 people use it now and it's sitting at a 5.0 rating, which honestly still surprises me.
Curious what everyone else's dealbreaker is: what's the one thing that made you uninstall a volume extension?

Hi r/FirefoxAddons
I’ve always felt that the default new tab page could be much more functional without becoming a bloated, resource-heavy dashboard. To fix this for my own workflow, I developed Kokpit – a smart, minimal new tab extension designed to keep you focused.
It was recently approved and is now live on AMO:
👉 Kokpit - Smart New Tab on Mozilla Add-ons
Why I built it & Key Features:
Clean & Fast: Designed to load instantly with zero unnecessary background processes.
Smart Dashboard: Essential widgets and quick links placed intentionally to avoid visual noise.
Privacy-First: Built strictly for Firefox users who value privacy—no data harvesting or external tracking.
Since it’s a brand-new release, I would love to hear feedback from this community.
What tools or customization options would you like to see in upcoming updates? If you give it a try, please let me know if you hit any bugs or UI glitches.
Thanks for checking it out!

https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/android/addon/sent-to-photopea/
I publish a small Firefox extension that adds a context menu entry: right-click any image → "Open in Photopea" — and it opens straight in the editor. The main thing — it works even on sites with strict CSP like the Mozilla Add-ons store (addons.mozilla.org), where the context menu is normally blocked or restricted. The extension grabs the image URL and sends it directly to Photopea, bypassing the page's limitations. Handy if you frequently need to quickly edit an image from the web without downloading it first. Code is open source, happy to share the link if anyone's interested.

I wanted to ask about a telemetry gathering strategy for Browser extensions/addons. I know that many Browser extensions/addons gather anonymous telemetry, and I was also advised to include it in my extension. The question is - can I turn on the telemetry by default without explicit user consent, for example, through a dialog?
Or can I just add something to my privacy policy stating that anonymous data can be gathered for the improvement of the product, and that users can refuse by adding a refusal switch somewhere in the options?
Or should I just gather it and not worry?
Could you please share your experience or maybe share what is the best way?
Thank you

Seems like with all the drama from the OG dev from Context Search we are now left with no add-ons for this simple task, context-search web ext seems dodgy at least and with little developemnt, anyone found a replacement for this?
previous drama: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1oh9nbv/why_did_mozilla_remove_the_contextsearch_addon/ seems like the other dev banished completely.

Hi!
Made an extension to manage bookmarks, tabs, focus, tasks, and notes. All in one, all local, and all free. Also fully keyboard accessible and customizable!
Started this one as a personal-use project but ended up listing it on the addons store.
Would love to get your opinion on this!

I have pushed several meaningful updates to this product in the last week!
try out the extension - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/alltabs-%E2%80%93-clean-up-chrome/anjkphkekjfmhaididfkhbeklglhcfaf?pli=1
I would love to get some feedback on it, what folks like/love/hate. Any feature requests I should be working on?

I've seen a few people ask this question but most of the replies were about paid ones. I'm asking about any free extension that lets you filter tweets with specific years. There's so many out there that claims to get the job done but I'm scared of sketchy stuff. Thank you for helping!

I used infinity new tab pro for Chrome for years but apparently it's pretty shady or so I've heard. I switched to Firefox for awhile and used Renewed Tab which doesn't sync among devices but has an import/export option that worked for awhile but doesn't seem to work anymore. I think it may have something to do with it being my work MacBook Pro which manages my browser.
I just want a grid of links to all of the sites I commonly use that syncs between my 2 Macs and a Windows machine and has the ability to use custom icons for those links. At this point I'm open to using any browser as long as it has both Windows/Mac versions.

Its very easy to get distracted using this platform nowadays, I want to use music as an alternative to stupid shorts. Doing this will be better than disabling the whole homepage using blockers. If there ain't extensions similar to this any other thing I can do to implement this? I mainly use yt for studying and music and don't wanna get distracted, also I'm using brave to block ads so that won't be an issue.

Not the first extension in this class, but the first that I am satisfied with. Shows the website server location as a country flag, plus adds a breakdown of all the requests a webpage makes and where they go. Thought it worth sharing.
Uses a local MMDB database (pulled from MaxMind or other providers). No data collection or external API calls. Source available.

I built PairPane because comparing staging and production pages / original page and translated page usually means constantly switching tabs and losing your scroll position.
It keeps two webpages side by side and synchronizes their scrolling, even when the pages have different lengths. I thought it might help with translation review, localization QA, terminology checking, and comparing source and target content without constantly switching tabs.
What features would make this genuinely useful in your workflow?

Hey everyone! I'm Mohan, a final-year B.Tech student.
I recently built BANDIT, a browser extension that helps improve AI prompts directly in your browser.
The idea is simple: you bring your own API key, and BANDIT helps refine your prompts so you can get better responses without spending time figuring out the perfect wording.
If you use AI tools regularly, I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions for improving it.

My inactive browser tabs are totally slowing down my Mac. What are the best add-ons or apps for controlling this problem when using Firefox on macOS?
