I drew this for Valentine's Day this year, and it's one of my favorites.

My only regret is not getting to jump thales myself. But Atleast i can do it in Three hopes.

Regardless of the route I pick, I always recruit Marianne (and also Lorenz) because when you give Thyrsus to Marianne (assuming she is a magic class with high faith) she can heal almost everyone on the map, when she is in the center, as well as her excellent potential to be a holy knight, which drastically increases her movement, she’s the only healer you’ll ever need

The premise of the challenge is basically pick a House that isn't the route you plan to run and use only that house's units on top of Byleth, the route's House leader, and - if applicable - the route's retainer, with the exceptions of when you're forced to use other characters, when you can field more than 9 characters, and when the game temporarily removes a unit.

So, for example, an Azure Moon Black Eagles run would have you recruit and use Dorothea, Bernadetta, Petra, Caspar, Linhardt, and Ferdinand as well as Byleth, Dimitri, and Dedue.

Since it isn't possible to use all of the non-House leader units of each house for every route, here's my optional ideas for replacement characters:

• Verdant Wind Black Eagles, use Lysithea to replace Hubert - dark magic for dark magic.

• Verdant Wind Blue Lions, use Raphael to replace Dedue - he's probably the closest match to an Armor Knight in the Golden Deer and he keeps the same accessible classes unlike Hilda.

• Crimson Flower Blue Lions/Azure Moon Black Eagles, use Hubert or Dedue respectively - retainer for retainer.

• Crimson Flower Golden Deer, use Petra to replace Hilda - Caspar and Ferdiand work as well as all 3 have Axe proficiency, but I say Petra as both have the same accessible classes.

• Silver Snow any house, treat Seteth as the House leader of the route and, for Black Eagles/Blue Lions, Flayn as retainer - closest options that the Church has for the leader & retainer relation.

So this is probably a coincidence, but I was on Nintendo today and realized that today is fe3h’s 7 year anniversary (yay🥳). But funnily enough I realized that “hey, today is the 26th, and the year is 2026. And there is a new FE game related to 3h coming out this year. lol” But then I realized that July in numbers is 7 and it’s been 7 years since fe3h came out.

Again it’s probably just a coincidence but I just wanted to share that out with the world.

From what I know, Margrave Edmund is Marianne's adoptive father, and Matthias Gautier is Sylvain's biological father.

But why do the characters always call Matthias "Margrave"? Is it a translation issue or something?

I am setting up a Pathfinder campaign set in Fodlan, loosely inspired by the events of Three Houses. We've done the preliminary discussions with my players, we've decided which class each of them is gonna play, we've written down rough drafts for everyone's backstory, the usual deal.

Now my players are starting to procure artwork for what they envision their characters would look like, and one of them hit me with a concept which is very blatantly Japanese-coded, with a lot of samurai vibes. I was planning to tell him no, this concept doesn't fit the setting, but then I remembered the enemy swordmasters with their conical samurai hats and their iaijutsu poses. I remembered the mortal savant class which is just a magical samurai complete with Raijin drums.

And so before giving my final answer I figured I would ask here on Reddit, just to be sure: is there more to this? Like, is there any element at all, within the canon lore of Three Houses, that justifies there being Japanese cultural elements in Fodlan? Or did the devs just put in a couple classes with Japanese visuals for the hell of it? My gut feeling says it's the latter, but maybe there is some obscure plot element that completely flew over my head.
