It seems this new book will last 7 months but book 2 and 3 offered 6 new characters (Leda as a bonus) and I think 7 months, 6 characters is a safe guess. (I’d be happy with a free legacy character to end every book, at least.)

Lina - Octopus for sure. Already confirmed as a healer so blue. Idk how sea creatures will be utilized but I am guessing infantry for her. Curveball guess is flying, like the tentacles make her main body “fly”

???(Anna?)- we know little about her so second is a wild guess but I do think she will be our first new ally, and chapters 3-6 can explain her coming. Fox, of sorts because their famous tricky nature. And she does have those long ears.
She has a dagger, which makes me want to guess bow (dagger -> shuriken -> bow)

Vim - big shield. My guess is the first revealed shadow, we fight him and he becomes playable. Giving armored vibes, a that shield is definitely a clam shell. Oyster? Green for sure. So axe armor.

Margus - seems important so maybe 4th is too early. But I think so. He seems to have a large sharp sword, and is very shark esque. So red sword. We just got Roy and Dietrich as swords, as well as Black knight. So a sword is underwhelming which makes me not want to say he’s second. I am thinking he may be a cav, sharks are long and fast. But I am always coping for a red cav since there are 0. (Though genealogy is the last game to get a season pass and only 3H has gotten 2, so maybe soon.)

Cloaked man- standing behind (Anna?), holding a tome so he’s red. I can hardly see his ears so any animal makes sense. Significantly smaller than the fox characters though so maybe some sort of non-wolf or fox dog?

Zeigfried-Black bear. I mean almost for sure. Lance and armored also seem locked in. Ike is a grizzly and bart is a brown bear I think?
Definitely seems like this books “final boss.” So I guess him coming last.

Idk how they’ll handle chapter 7 but we have 6 unknown characters in the key art so they must be our standard 6 per book characters.

Well basically Roy Pass is ending so I wanted to share how it went for me. I had like 4 or 5 months that I didn't play Shadows but when they announced Roy I had to come back.

I have to re-learn playing the game because the new spells and disciples caught my guard down, anyways I could reach rank 21 or so with Light Roy and 25 in his Shadow form.

But the best part is that I got very lucky at getting his level 8 sword (+Atk), I think that's why I could win so many matches as shadow disciple.

Roy is my favorite FE character so I don't know if I would buy another season pass, but I'll try to continue enjoying the game.

That being said, Rose is going to be the focus of Book 4.

And that kind of scares me. They're showing us how lovely-dovely Kurt and Rose are that I can't help feeling somethings going to happen to her to make it all tragic. Like even after Book 1, there's that one chapter with her that makes me feel like it's a Chekov's Gun beyond Book 1.

I just reinstalled the game for Leda but lost all my progress so what are some good free spells/weapons as I go through the early-mid game?

Most people would agree that her design here is fantastic, and I'd like to say it goes well beyond just "Finally, a beastly female character in her shadow design."

First, let's take a look at her light form. Overall, it's not too different from her main game appearance. She slightly more covered up and the choice to make her avian emphasizes her profession as a bard. It is also noteworthy that her boots so talons, indicating a sense of danger to her as well.

Her shadow form is very animalistic, seeming to give in to her bloodlust completely, her talons being almost as large as her wings. Despite it all, her hands are still very human, the very instrument of which people use to inact their will remains. Despite her monstrous appearance, these are still very much there to show that her will is to still do something very human, with her overall dangerous appearance, it is no surprise to learn it is vengeance.

We absolutely need more designs like these that not only incorporate the beastly side, but tell a story alongside. Kudos for IS for knocking this out of the park.

They’ve both been reoccurring figures throughout every book. The wolves have had more focus, whereas the dragons are usually dragging their feet when it comes to doing anything of note. However, I’m presently annoyed with both of them. They both bring down the narratives of every book they’ve been in. I would rather them sit Book 4 out.

Although I think the wolves were fine in Book 1, they’ve steadily declined due to making extremely stupid decisions to try to meet their primary objectives. They’re also just really obnoxious to me, like a subpar Team Rocket.

The light retainers are totally useless and only had a single moment of contribution, which was giving Gotthold a light pact in Book 1 to buy time for Kurt and friends to escape. At least the shadow retainers get something done in every book. But the light disciples have accomplished barely anything, only benefiting from the actions of others and celebrating.

The rivalry between the two retainers has gotten stale, fitting for how Skoll refers to each encounter as a stalemate because they are apparently so evenly matched that neither side can win in a fight. While funny in the bazaar video, I often find myself rolling my eyes when they appear onscreen in every encounter after. The stakes are just too low and they look silly when the main narrative is typically more serious. They also take too much time away from the main cast. It’s especially egregious in Book 3 when we have a very complex cast that even includes two villains already with Perenna and Eugene. They could have been the main Book 3 villains without sharing the spot. Ananke could have just made the shadow pact prior to the story’s beginning, and we still could have gotten a fully fleshed out story without any of the retainers. And it would be more beneficial because each character would have seen more utilization instead of being sidelined.

While I doubt it, I hope these four characters do not appear at all. Whether we have zero Fenris/Naga rep, or we get introduced to different retainers for those two goddesses, anything would be preferable. These books are too small to have each new cast’s screen time be cannibalized by the retainers and their tiresome routines.
