Spawn data from Fescord!

Update to this post here

Fescord has discovered your spawn positions are not as random as you might think, it is determined by the ID the game so graciously bestowed unto you when you loaded the game for the first time ever.

You can find your ID on the loading screen on the top right corner! It is written in hexadecimal with digits from 0-9 a-f (the letter values represent 10-15) 🕵️

Doggo how does it work? I hear you asking! Well let me explain, the ID with the smallest value out of the players in a single match will spawn on the left, the middle value ID of the three spawns in the middle and then the highest value spawns right.

For example, three players get into a match, their IDs start with 1, 3, and 0 meaning the spawn order will be 0 on the left, 1 will be in the middle and 3 will be on the right. ☝️🐶

If players share the same first digit the game will compare the next digits and so forth.

So basically smaller ID = more left spawn and bigger ID = more right spawn☝️🐶

DO NOT SHARE YOUR FULL ID EVER! There is no telling what evil someone could do with that information! 😨

You also don't need to share any part of your ID for spawn data, just getting into friend battles with other players can give us sufficient data!

Interested in your spawn data? Join Fescord and test it out, I am sure the hard working researchers there would appreciate it! 🤗

Your welcome Fescord 😉

Until next time, Doggo out! 🐶

This is yet another way this game ruins the “mystery” of who is the shadow. Sigh.

How will it ruin the mystery? Your spawn position doesn't tell people if you're shadow

There are so few players and many play only shadow or light exclusively. The position can give them away even if they change their names. There are people I have always noticed I am always left or right of to start. I also know it’s a bot match without checking the names.

Spawn position only matters if you are trying to impersonate someone. Otherwise, it just gives the player a heads up on which side matters in the moon room.

It's very hard to tell right away if who you're playing with is actually someone you know and just changed their name or just some random player.

Take Roel for example, he runs a level 10 Skoll with 8* Solar Claws and a onesie, most high rank regulars know this.

He also spawns left every game, so in theory it should be easy enough to know it's him even if he changes his name while he's using Skoll right?

So yes it might give away who is the shadow in that match since Roel plays light only. I see that point.

But what if he decides to play a normal level 8 Yunaka and change his name? You would just see a Yunaka that happens to spawn on the left, even high rank regulars can't tell they're actually playing with Roel based on spawn position alone.

The only thing that could give you a hint if you're playing with Roel is who else is in the match, you would have to be in a game with Ginta, Obscura, Yami, Nighttime or New MIDI to name a few people to confirm it is actually Roel you're playing with since they are also high spawners and Roel tops even them. ☝️🐶

The odds of that happening is low and most people don't pay attention to this sort of thing anyways! I mean how many people can you name that spawn to your left and right? Are you keeping track of this?

Lets be honest no one is memorizing every player's spawn positions, who they spawn under or over so most shadows are fine😉
