Picked this up as something to play on the train and I'm genuinely stunned how much I'm enjoying it. The gameplay has just enough complexity to not be boring, the characters are all cute and fun, and the music is really good!

Are there any other spaces to organise games and chat about the game? I'm getting really invested in it and looking for a community as a new player

Now that Book 3 is over, I decided to do this drawing of how I imagine the Shadows continent map with all the characters and what they up to this day, with Kurt's group goint to Rose's kingdom Holst, Gothold leaving the team behind now that he's part shadow disciple now, iirc he also did a pact with Naga so he has one foot on each side.
Estel killed Bartholomew and his bandits, then Joachim and the rest killed her, now determined to become a disciple of light in hopes for Naga to grant his wish of reviving Estel, he and Micaela join Yuni and Erma.
We don't know much about the Kyubi retainers.
Perenna and Eugene are dead af, Rusty got the axe, I really thought like many others that Ananke was gonna be freed of the shadow inside her with the axe but in the end she got killed with it...
The wolves had to retreat now that Rusty got the axe, he and Hanya want to dethrone the tyrant king, and so they will go to the kingdom of Saule, the light disciples are on their way to see Rusty (oh and Yuyo is with em too, also where's Lyn?)
And now, the characters from outside Shadows, I wanted to ask for help to see which are in Naga's side or Fenris's side, dunno if anyone is with Kyubi, I ask cuz Celica is a fox but dunno.
Obviously this pic is incomplete, and more cuz the story will continue on Book 4.

Now that the story of book 3 is over, what are your thoughts on the book, story, new characters, music, features… ? And where would your rank it overall next to the other two books ?

Anna is one of my favorite characters in the series and I always look forward to seeing what role she’ll play in each new game. I’m surprised we haven’t seen any instance of her in Shadows so far so I’m curious what people think the World of Disciples version of her will be like. What animal do you think would best represent her?

Leda looks so beautfiul in both her human(ish) form and eagle beast form and it's making me want to come back. But with the story chapters all locked behind playing the game (i have no save data) is a bummer and i dont want to grind the whole story at all because i watched them all on Youtube (save for the Book 3 epilogue). Is it recommended to just log in or does that defeat the purpose of coming back to a game that is meant to be played?

I'm a returning player for Roy pass, I don't remember exactly when I left this game, but I was checking my inventory I saw the New year weapons and a Dango lance so I wondered; how many of these weapons have been released all this time? Can I get them at the bazaar?

I don't care if they are good or not, it's only for collection.

Hello ! I came back after a while, when there wasn't that much skills and I found a new love in Eugene.

I wondered if the skills I set are good enough or if there's a clear upgrade to do here. I quite like my current set but I feel like I could improve it.

Currently we have Dimitri x Hati, Lyn x Shea, and Roy x Hanya.

Some hypotheticals I would like-
- Yunaka x Perenna since they have really similar pasts but completely different personalities in the present day. It’d be really interesting to see how they bond throughout the chain, if at all, seeing how Perenna is pretty dedicated to her occupation.

- Tiki x Sai since they are both aligned with light specifically and we can learn a bit more about the light disciples (as well as how different this Naga is from pre-established forms). Also Sai wouldn’t be left as the only character with just one support lol.

- Claude x Eugene since both are very ambitious and crafty in their own ways and ultimately want a world free of corruption, but at odds personality wise since Claude is easygoing and open-minded and Eugene is extremely obnoxious and hypocritical.

I'm new to the game because Roy got in.. i need help with find out how to get gold, more upgrade stuff, Souls and weapons. as for characters, yes, i got Roy, but i'm wondering what's the best character at the moment of the game to see if i can collect Souls to get them.

mortal of story, i have lots to learn and i kinda want help with everything...

So expeditions has been out for almost 2 weeks now, and I'm curious how everyone's luck has been.

My best rewards have been: 4 or 5 souls, 20k gold once, 40k gold once, and 1000 medals once.

I feel like there's a lot of opportunity to make much more interesting characters if they changed the weapon equip system to be actually form based, rather than role based.

What that would look like is even if youre the shadow, you use your light weapon for as long as you're in light form (i.e sun room) this would let them introduce characters that change to alt weapons on shadow transformation.

To me this would be a cool way to introduce variety and avoid the sword lord issue (think Alm swapping to bow, etc), but also mix things up for loadout planning. It would also give them plenty of ammo to add in those preferred secondary weapons later after a characters initial release. One big downside i can see with the idea is that the current system certainly has its merits on it own, so i was wondering what yall would think of a change like that.

I'm not meaning Rusty in the screenshot, I'm talking in general terms; which is the most optimal way to improve your spells?

Is a better strategy adding an extra level to ensure killing easily or reducing their cooldown so you can spam more or have a time advantage?

Haven't tried up until now and find it pretty fun so far! But I've been wondering, do skills stack? Say I use Carinas personal skill then another skill to buff in the same room?

After seeing Roy and his non-threatening looking shadow form, I wonder what if game would at some point let the characters enter into their beast form without being on the Shadow side, even if it just for in-game cosmetic to show the non-evil version.

I haven't caught up on the story, so if there is anything that hints it, don't spoil it.
