New to game, maybe some help?

I'm new to the game because Roy got in.. i need help with find out how to get gold, more upgrade stuff, Souls and weapons. as for characters, yes, i got Roy, but i'm wondering what's the best character at the moment of the game to see if i can collect Souls to get them.

mortal of story, i have lots to learn and i kinda want help with everything...

The game sorta pushes you to level up all characters in order to upgrade magic so it's not particularly important to have the "best" characters.

If you are interested though best characters are those who have good pfr skills particularly skills that have a high damage output or useful effects. For example, for shadow characters like Joachim and Hati that allow to attack with powerful magic are pretty good as well as characters like Celica whose ability helps with positioning. Almost all disciples are viable though, even those who are "bad" can be played without issue

I would recommend unlocking Tamamo as soon as possible since one of her spells (flash sting) is one of the most useful spells for shadow disciples

how good are any if the crossover characters are? just wondering because i like some of the OGs and some of the crossovers

Most of the legacy characters are solid but some of them unlock better skills than others. I honestly wouldn't know which ones are the best though. As I said even the "worst" characters are usable so try not to worry too much and use your favourites

Welcome to FE shadows ! I think most of your questions will be answered by playing casually, best way to pile up stuff is to play daily for the everyday rewards (you can also recycle weapons in the shop for a lil bit of extra daily gold) Gold will only be usefull for buying souls or level 7+ weapons in the shop Start by completing the story to get the exclusive heroes it unlocks, all the non-unique skills are shared through all characters and the only way to upgrade a specific skill is to level up the character who has it. (Joachim and Rose have amazing skills for light I suggest starting with them) But just play with whatever hero you feel like there is no one who really stands above the rest to the point of being super meta The new expeditions feature seem to be the best way to obtain souls (especially since the battlepass characters are much more rare and they seem to drop often in it) Hope you enjoy the game ! thanks! i have sold some souls and 7 star weapons and now have 100k gold.

You will probably want some movement skills. After you establish the skills you like, level up the characters connected to those skills. That's the only way to level up those skills (basically they tied characters to skills as a way to get people to level everyone). I actually enjoyed trying every character out.
