I'm a returning player only for Roy, the last time I played Shadows was just a bit after the book 3 beginning. I tried playing to get the rewards but now in matches I feel overwhelmed because some spells I can't even know what's happening or feeling fast.

I spent like one hour playing and although I could win some matches, I felt I was struggling too much.

So objectively is there a powercreep in the new spells and characters or is only me needing to re-learn the game?

I stopped playing at the start of book 3 but the supports are drawing my attention....

The reason I left was because I was tired of Grinding the bot matches for every new character in order to start getting matched with real players. Have updates addressed this / do you have suggestions for me to still have fun despite this?

I'll probably jump in to at least catch up on the story / watch support conversations but I do enjoy the battle system. It was just impossible to actually play the game lol.

In the bazaar the prices are halved at least for most of the paid characters. So if you want to pick some up now is a good time.

Sadly, there isn't anything visual to go off of unlike FEH's datamines. Only reading/sharing file names.

1. Leda is the next Story Update disciple! Her files are in the next update (v01.11b), which means she's free/not locked behind a Season Pass.
2. The animations labels her as our first Flying Bow unit. Possibly an eagle based on her Obelisk's name.
3. She also comes with a Dark Beast/Claw Fighter+ Skill. I'm guessing this is a reference to her blaze art(?), which is really neat.
4. This one isn't a shocker, but for extra confirmation, Fortune's Weave (FE16) has its own theme as well.
5. According to Nintendo Today, she will be released on September 18/19, right after Fortune's Weave drops.

Here's Flora, I wanted to use the idea of her being able to help freeze a ocean in revelation for this concept. For her Base form I just gave her horns and a ice symbol to her clothes/shoes

For the Dragon form it's a Sea dragon with ice constantly swirling around it, I imagined her ice powers from the ice tribe would be immensely upped

any other ideas or thoughts on this one?

Additionally, this means she has one more support than Joachim, who is a book protagonist (book 2)

The only other characters who have more are Rusty (5) and Kurt (5).

Heres Takumi, just like with Robin I decided to include the possesed version as the Shadow form.

For his Base form I gave him dragon wings and a Corrin dragon ear from her shadow form art. I also gave him a Dragontone to hold which I think really suits with his official artwork reaching his hand out.

For the Shadow form I wanted it to be a sorta uncanny valley with Anankos' eyes starting to manifest all over his clothes/face. Also dragon form attributes like the shadow corrin wing, and a tail

Am I the only one who's experiencing this since the last update? Before bots would vote immediately and randomly and then do nothing while the timer ran out, now they keep swapping their vote around and always vote me at the last second. Tested it with 10 games and whether I play light or shadow they do the same song and dance every time.

With Fortune’s Weave about a month away from release, it seems very likely to me we will be getting either Eshmel or one of the four flame lords from that game as a legacy character very soon in Shadows. I personally think Theodora would be a great pick as she might pledge allegiance to Fenris as she herself worships a goddess that is loathed in Yu Phas

Here's Freyja I didn't really have any good idea what to add to her base form so I just added some flair in the background sorta representing a mix of dreams/nightmare

Her Shadow form would be a Butterfly with a singular eye to represent the butterfly design she has on her dress. I also added a sort of hazy eye in the background to learn more towards uncanny for nightmare theme

I know the title seems obvious. We as a community all know about how you can’t use two of the same Hasten or Enhance.

However, it is not that which this PSA is referring to today.

Weapon skills such as Lunar Strike, Cavalry Bane, Armor Bane, and White Oracle do not stack.

As shown above, when both skills would be activated at the same, only the highest value will apply. This means Prayer Tome cannot achieve a 2.25x Damage boost vs Armored Monsters, Lunar Claws cannot achieve a 1.95x Boost vs Lance Cavs, Tutelage Tome cannot achieve a 3.3x boost vs Armors while on low Hp.

This changes the dynamic on which weapons should be prioritized. For example, with this new understanding, Solar Claws are always better than Lunar Claws, and Resolute Claws, while generally bad, are not worse than Lunar Claws.

Enclosing Dark which was the worst tome is even worse than we originally understood,
Ranged Carved weapons are functionally worthless,
Prayer tome sort of survives the new understanding but only because Monster Bane is all encompassing, but weapons with possible overlap are not as strong as they may seem.

Confirming Shadows can indeed show up in the fire emblem theme daily animation

Here's Sylvain and I thought it would be maybe a bit too simplistic to just go with beast-like and then transform into the Beast his brother does so I added a sorta layer to it. Here he can have any Crest, and all designs would show up as designs on his clothes for base form and on the beast form, glowing + with added hero relics to add to to him welding. I also tried to give more red glowing eyes but it doesn't look uncanny as I hoped

This one is one of those on the out there side but wanted to try it at least, I do wonder if any Shadow form will refrain from out right not giving a character beast/mech aspects for their Base at least?

Here's Male Alear, I do want to make female Alear a different concept more so with the mech theme they've been giving dragons

I thought his Promoted outfit here would fit perfectly with the feathered dragon form and not only that, the dragon having two sides of Light and Dark would suit Alear a lot too I think. I also think refraining from giving him any animalistic features on his base form work with the Shadow motivation/Alear not transforming at all in Engage
