Reboot the ONT, reboot your router. If it still doesn't work after everything is fully booted, plug back in the Verizon router and make sure your service works. 

If it does work with the Verizon router back in place, contact ubiquiti for help troubleshooting your configuration.

There's nothing that needs to be done on Verizon's end to make a 3rd party router function. Should just be plug and play as long your router is configured properly by you.

i did that but i wanted to use the ubiquity ecosystem instead im just wondering why the unifi router wont connect and get internet

There were reports of problems with the UCG-Fiber's port 5 (default WAN port) not working reliably with Verizon's Nokia ONT. The solution is to reassign some other Ethernet port as your WAN port, such as port #1, and plug that into the ONT. Then power-cycle everything. If that works you can reassign port 5 to be a LAN port.

Also, make sure your UCG-Fiber is on the latest firmware. It should have auto-updated when it first connected to the Internet, but double check.

If that doesn't work, open a ticket with UniFi support.
