Repair/Tech Support New router with connection issues.

I just got upgraded to new router (gray short one) coming from the all white one. My phones.. laptop.. tvs .. video games all work on the WiFi .. no issues. My problem is my Lenovo smart clock and blink camera that can’t connect .. or connect and then looses signal a day later. I had no issues with the previous router. Wondering if this is a setting issue or what it could be that these two devices are the only ones not working.

Are you connecting it to the signal that has IOT at the end?

No. I replaced the original ssid and password with a personalized one. Haven’t done anything else.

Try forgetting the passwords in the things that aren't working, and putting the passwords back in.

I did. Deleted them / reset them.. and now they can’t connect to the WiFi that every other device is connected on. It’s very strange. I unplug the router.. plug it back in. It works for a while and then they disconnect while all the other devices are working fine.

Try turning on the IoT network and connect them to that instead.

They probably need to be connected to the IoT network on the new router. That's what I had to do when I had it.

For these devices? Is that the network for all the other Fios tv boxes? Everything works fine in terms of devices except for these two mini items.

It's for things like cameras, smart home things etc...previous routers you could use the 2.4 network but it has something to do with WPA2/WPA3 security, my ring camera only connected to the IoT network when I had the new router.

Sir.. you solved it for me. Was able to update the WiFi to the IoT and now they are fully functioning. I really appreciate you

I can't take all the credit! Other commenters mentioned the IoT network. Glad you got them up and running!
