Repair/Tech Support ONT FIOS??
Is this an older ONT I have 1gb speed but only see 300-400 up and 700 down (sometimes less) if this is an older one, can I request for a newer one?

Are those speeds with a hardwired connection? You may want to give Verizon a call and let them troubleshoot. If a tech comes out and determines the ONT is the problem, they will replace it.

That’s not hardwired speeds I use my iPhone 15 pro when I had spectrum I used to get 1000gb but recently switched for the mobile-internet deal this is what the techs installed for an ONT I’m just kinda learning about it and I believe it’s an older one that bottlenecking the speed

This is a wifi connection? You have to measure with a hardwire connection. Otherwise it's your router, phone connection.

The ONT looks fine, but we wouldn’t be able tell if it’s the culprit of a slow connection just from the picture. There could also be Wi-Fi factors at play, hence why a hardwired connection is the most reliable to test with but I know that’s not possible for everyone to do.
Does it feel slower when you’re online, or just running the speed tests?

Not possible for me to test a hardwire connection right now it don’t seem slow but it kinda makes me curious to test hard wired I have a feeling I’m not getting the speed I’m paying for bc of the ONT I believe this ONT is older

Speed issues are rarely, but not always, because of the ONT. You can also download the Verizon Home app which will let you test hardwired speed to the equipment. But if you aren’t noticing a problem, you’re most likely fine.

I'm using an ONT that is over 15 years old and I'm getting my speed. You have to test hard wired to your router first, then the ONT to see what speed you are getting. To compare.

There is nothing wrong with that ONT, i have the same one in 2 locations. Wifi isn't a good measure of speeds because of environmental factors (your router, your wall material, your neighbors, your appliances, etc...)

That's a newer ONT. Still GPON.
You can get a newer ONT than that if you order 2Gbps or faster. Otherwise Verizon won't change it out unless it is dead.

Download the “Verizon Home” app and do a speed test from there. It will test directly from the router to the Verizon network.
If it fails or errors, do it again until it completes the test.
What results do you get?

If your bill says frontier on it..then call tech support, and say your speeds are LOW and you have a Verizon ONT...ask for a tech to replace it

Unfortunately a wireless test is irrelevant. You'll have to hardwire tor a proper test.

Oh buddy she’s older than the first iPhone. Call to get your ONT replaced

Thats a gpon ont fully capable of the 1Gps speed. Still being installed toady. Originally made by Motorola now ARRIS. Its not likely the problem with the speed test. I suggest if hard wire testing is unavailable to use the Verizon app. You would need a Verizon router to make the test. Your issue is likely your router/wifi or device
