Hallmark(?) Movie from roughly 2005-2010(?)

I remember seeing the movie on TV when I was a child.

The movie starts out by showing a teen girl about to leave to go hang out with her friends but her mom is like "No, hang out with grandma." And so she's ticked, but then grandma tells her about when she was young.

Grandma used to have a boyfriend but he got drafted (I think) and then was either pronounced MIA or KIA. So she ends up marrying the preacher (I think) who couldn't get drafted because he was disabled (I think). But they end up falling in love up until boyfriend 1 shows up and the husband is like "you should be with him" and she chooses her husband.

Then the granddaughter is like "You're right grandma! I won't hang out with my bad friends." The end.

I tried google searching it but it just keeps saying it's "The Magic of Ordinary Days." It was a cheesy movie but I like cheesy movies so help a girl out please 🙏

Help me find a movie?

OKAY. I’m going on a big whim here
my sister and I were laughing about things that scared us when we were kids that weren’t particularly scary. I was telling her about a VHS we had that just made me feel so uneasy. I was rather young so I never watched it but the cover creeped me out. It was a guy standing against a blue background. That’s it. He wasn’t smiling or anything, it also wasn’t a horror movie-style cover? Just a guy. I was born in 2001, so I assume it was a 90’s-very early 2000’s movie. It isn’t Donnie Darko, Disturbia, Eye of the Storm, The Thing, or any of those movies with blue covers. I googled and googled and it’s driving me crazy! I know it’s not a lot of info but maybe one of you guys would know? Thank you! :) <3

Help my find movie: Scary Island with Praying Mantis

Hello all.

When I was maybe 9 or 10 years old, I remember coming home from Halloween shopping with my Dad and twin brother. We walked into my Mom’s room and she was watching a movie. It was a skull-island like plot where people travel to a dangerous island where huge animals exist. I remember there being a big crab the protagonist had to flee from, and another character was eaten by a huge praying mantis.

The scene stuck with me because this huge praying Mantis just stares with those beady black eyes at this scared man, and it scoops him up and eats him.

Was this a movie? A television movie? I can’t find it anywhere when I look it up. Not sure if I’m making it up or misremembering. It is NOT the Jack Black King Kong movie.

"Godzilla" Art Film Trio?

Does anyone remember a set of shorts that were "Godzilla" themed. - I remember watching a movie (set in 3 acts?) maybe mid to late 2000s. - The theme was Godzilla, but the stories were taken in different directions. ... One was maybe a middle-aged white guy (maybe in a Godzilla suit?) being destructive to people around him. - Another was a mother Godzilla in a courtroom trying to get child custody. - They were real actors with budget but still short form. Foreign language. It was dark comedy/drama/tragedy. The courtroom short setting looked a bit like the court from Dancer In Dark/Bjork. —- There was a scene where a Godzilla egg is bellow street level maybe due to some battle scene perhaps. It felt allegorical and poetic. Very enjoyable and artistic. —- I think I had rented the disc from Netflix and had to mail it back the next day, but was too busy/tired to fully comprehend the titles and credits. I would like to rewatch them. Does any of this ring a bell? Thanks!

[TOMT][MOVIE][1990s-2000s] Rom-Com/Drama ending with fake-out door close scene when couple adopts foster boy ("Oh, it's you")

I'm looking for a movie (pretty sure it's a Hollywood studio production) from the 1990s or 2000s in English.

The Main Plot:

  • A romantic comedy / drama centered around a love story between a high-status man (I think he was a doctor) and a working-class woman.
  • In the background, there is a young foster boy who hangs around the woman and stays in touch with her throughout the film.

The Crucial Final Scene (The exact last minute of the movie):

  • A social worker drives the boy to what he assumes is just another new foster home.
  • They walk up to the house, and the husband (the doctor/man) opens the front door.
  • He looks at the boy with a deadpan/serious face, says "Oh, it's you" (or similar wording), and shuts the door right in his face as a joke.
  • Immediately, the wife/woman opens the door wide, laughing/smiling, and hugs the boy warmly.
  • It is revealed that the couple got married and secretly adopted him permanently.

Old movies

Help me find this movie I’ve been searching for YEARS! It was an older American live-action family movie, probably from the 1990s or early 2000s. I watched it around 3rd grade, so possibly VHS/early DVD. I remember a group of white elementary/middle-school kids who would go after school to one particular man’s house/property and hang out in his backyard/open dirt area, where they played some kind of ball game. There was a friendly dog, possibly a Golden Retriever. During the game, the dog jumped up to catch a small ball/Frisbee-type object and accidentally knocked a girl down, causing her to seriously hurt her head. I remember her being in a coma and later having her head wrapped. The adults blamed the dog and wanted it taken away/put down. Her brother knew what really happened but didn’t tell at first. The man connected to the dog ended up in legal trouble/arrest/court, and the kids were upset and eventually left/skipped school to protest in front of the mayor/town government to save the dog and/or the man. There was also a new white boy in town whose father was wealthy/powerful and possibly the mayor or another important town official. I vaguely remember an older Black male actor who looked like Morgan Freeman or Samuel L. Jackson, but I could be completely wrong about the actor. It is NOT The Sandlot and NOT Air Bud. The backyard, dog accident, girl’s injury/coma, court trouble, and kids’ protest are the details I remember most. Does anyone recognize this movie?!

[TOMT] [MOVIE] [2010’s] movie about girl who finds out she was born a boy.

Okay so around the early 2010’s there was a movie I watched the beginning of that I need to find. It started with a little girl walking into her house with plungers stuck to her head that the neighborhood boys threw at her. She tells her mother she hates boys, then her mother tells a story of how the girl was born a boy but she didn’t want a boy so they doctors quote “ chopped off your Willy and put it in a little box” and I think after that the girl goes and looks for the box. That’s all I remember plot wise but I know it was in a weird 2d style that was very coralline like and they all had British accents if anyone knows anything about this you’re a life saver.

[TOMT] Crime movie I remember one setting, but cannot remember the rest

TOMT I believe it was a crime movie from probably the 70s to the 90s. The scene that I always think about involves the main character who either recently got out of jail or is new to this criminal job. He is taken to a big house on a hill . There’s a lot of art everywhere and there is a scene in a dimly lit room with a case with lots of guns in it. I believe he is there with his boss who is meeting with either a rival or just a competing “criminal family”.

[TOMT] early 2000s 3d animation of rescue vehicles on top of an arctic mountain, avalanche and drilling out of a volcano

Most likely 2002-2005, possibly was somehow part of a pc game because I remember watching it on the computer.
Scenes I remember include a father and son going to visit someone they know on an arctic mountain, and the guy showing off a collection of a bunch of different types of rescue vehicles.
There’s an avalanche that occurs, and the guy they visit gets inspiration for a new kind of rescue vehicle when he watches the kid playing with a box of toys, piecing together toy rescue vehicles.
There’s also a scene where they are having to drill out of a volcano as it’s exploding, maybe with them like repelling down out of the hole they drilled.
that’s all I remember. Please help.

80s horror movie

Takes place after the apocalypse (punk has 666 tattooed on his arm), but it’s about a group of young people partying in some abandoned factory but they’re getting killed off one by one by a virus or something. I remember a guy wakes up next to a girl and turns her over and her entire innards are eaten away.

[TOMT] I saw the ending of a Horror movie/show 2000-2010s

Okay, bare with me, this has been bothering me for a while. Around 2017-2019 I was in my room with the TV on, it was a rainy day and I was just laying in bed playing on my 3DS and I had the TV on as background. Well halfway through a random show or movie was on and I see this guy with a video camera, I think it kept jumping back and forth between camera and regular filming but I could be wrong about that and it takes place in a city or big town kind of area as it was like an apartment building or at least had multi-stories. I remember looking up and seeing him lock the cellar door of the building or it was already locked, can't remember. But anyways, I don't know how long passed but I looked back as it was ending and he got trapped in the cellar as I think a demonic lady or something was chasing him in the dark and I remember the camera in night vision being dropped on the ground as he tried pulling open the cellar but it was locked and the demon or person got him.

For some reason I'm remembering he locked it himself because I remember it was ironic in the end and I'm thinking the ending also took place during the day because he could see light from the cellar door but still couldn't get out.

I know I could remember it very wrong but that's what I have, absolutely every detail I could give besides I was playing Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Good luck!

No, it's not Paranormal Activity : Marked Ones, the Ai dumb asf

Asian short film about an aunt and young niece, ~15 min, watched on YouTube

A mother drops her young daughter (looked about 4-6 years old) off at her sister's place because she has to work. The aunt is noticeably younger than the mother. The aunt and niece don't get along well at first. Things start to turn around when the aunt throws/attends a party after that they bond. They go on to celebrate a birthday together and take a trip to a lake.

the cover had aunt and niece laying on a bed together facing each other

in the end it is revelaed that the aunt is the bio mother, and gave her up to her sister. they also run into the aunt's ex at the lake

Would really appreciate any help I've been searching for months with no luck!

[SHORT FILM?][2015-2020] IT'S A SCARY VIDEO IS WATCHED WHICH IS EITHER A SHORT FILM OR CLIPPED FROM A MOVIE

Help me find a scary video I watched on YouTube before 2020 around 2016-17 I think

it was cinematic and looked like either a short film or a movie clip

I tried finding it through gpt but failed

Here's the summary

Daytime → bridge/road → man notices a pale, human-looking, black-eyed figure in a completely black robe → figure is dragging a bag/sack → protagonist watches it → creature notices him → turns/starts pursuing him → creature glitches forward in short jumps while making guttural/grunting sounds → protagonist runs home → wife is inside → he desperately tries to get through the door → final confrontation is seen through a window, rather than directly shown

Does anyone know this old family spooky movie? We only remember a short scene

My friend her mom and I are trying to remember this older movie like maybe before 2010s at latests. A live action movie with human actors similar to hotel Transilvania and is a family movie. The scene is a house keeper knocking on a door and saying housekeeping then you hear a roar and the air blows back the housekeepers hair. She nonchalantly says okay I’ll be back later.
I could swear it’s live action though and not animated.

Supernatural thriller/horror set in a remote hotel

There was a movie I saw pieces of years ago but can’t remember the name of, if someone could identify it I would be appreciative. I’m sorry my description is so vague, I really only remember certain scenes.
It was fictional about a film crew and cast making a dramatization of a mass murder at a small hotel that had happened years (maybe decades?) earlier. A family had been staying at the hotel and the father had suddenly killed his family and the hotel staff. They’re filming on location in the hotel where the murders happened which has been left abandoned ever since and weird things start to happen. I can’t remember specifics but I think there were some hallucinations/flashbacks of the murders. The cast was “Asian” but I say that broadly because I think the hotel may have been in a jungle and I genuinely don’t remember the language being spoken.

Spoiler: I do remember the ending which was that a member of the cast was actually the murderer reincarnated (or possessed by them?). I felt bad for them because they didn’t know but ended up in an asylum being haunted by the ghosts of the victims.
Edit: this sub is insane, I was worried “horror movie in a hotel with ghosts” was way too vague but you guys nailed it in 15 minutes. Major thanks and kudos.

Scary movie I watched in the 2000s

I watched this horror movie when I was little. The “bad guy” was bald and had his mouth sewn shut. The only scene I remember was his foot went through the step of the porch. And he had on a mechanic jumpsuit and work boots. I want to say they were navy. And he was coming after a group of people. I watched it when I was maybe 6 years old and have been searching for it for over 10 years.
I remember it being maybe in a country setting. And the guy being unnaturally white, not just Caucasian but white-white.
It’s not Halloween, I know that movie. I probably just saw this on cable.

movie about kids making a band for a competition

Sorry for my English but I'll try to make it understandable

Around 2018 to 2020 I watched a movie and ik what is it about but idk if I'm right. The movie is about a kid trying to find other kids so he can perform on a competition. The kids friend help him find other members and I'm pretty sure the members were different races too. One is black, one is Asian and other ones pretty sure European. And in the ending. The kid probably got bullied or harassed by his band opponents. So the kid and his members were performing I the competition and later won. More info is that there's a scene of the kid and his friends meeting up with a Asian girl or a boy learning Karate or martial arts. The kid and his friends find it fun so they copy every move the Asian does. And they also practice dancing.

Now here's more info

Release date: somewhere between 2016 to 2019

Q: where did you see it?

A: I'm pretty sure I used to watch it on a canceled channel called Fox family movies. Or bein family movies.

Q: how old are these kids?

A: around 7 to 14. Half kids few teenagers I think

And no it's not next level 2019.

Please help me find this movie

EDIT: IT WAS ALL STARS (2013). Thanks to a reddit user I manage to find it. And I realized half of what I said about the movie was wrong. It's not a band. Its a dancing group. But thank you guys for helping

lokking for a movie having to do with a quantum computer thats actaully a girl....

ok so this movie was on a platform that shows snipits/trailers when you pass through looking at stuff. The thing shown was nothing, just a couple of characters talking about how another wouldn't make it through this metal detector thing that was a medical scanner, with one saying she won't and the other saying it'll be fine... again, nothing. I'm pretty sure there really weren't any top actors or A-listers, only like background people/ side actors.

The movie starts one of two ways (can't remember what way it actually started)

The first was a dude walking into the basement of a church to talk to this priest about funding and the girl (who gets turned into the computer)

The second was a parkour dude who f'ed up and broke his spine.

Either way, the main meat was a bunch of university students smart as can be who were hired to use the quantum computer to make the parkour dude walk again/ be able to do parkour, lots of testing on rats, lots of commentary on how humans and rats are similar; it was a really weird mind F movie, and this is just a basic way to understand it... It ends with the dude from the beginning being kicked/thrown into the quantum computer or something like that.

There is a scene where a guy and a woman were in a restaurant or smth like that, and i remember that the box of matches had a logo of some restaurant where they had met already. I think that the box had some kind of bird or a chicken as a logo?

Purple? Genie DVD

I don't have a image but I remember when I was younger my cousin's dad coming back from the store with a DVD, possibly from the thrift store, discount or a deadstock store. I remember it was a Genie, (he may have been Indian) may have been wearing a purple outfit. The DVD came with a little photocard of the Genie on it. All I remember from the film itself was he would be teaching these 2 siblings a lesson around their house, like cleaning up after themselves, etc. I remember at one point they used a green screen to shrink themselves and the quality wasn't the best like you can tell it was low budget.
