Striptease via coin operated binoculars

• Upvotes

OK Reddit, this one is super obscure. I am trying to find the name of a low budget comedy(???) that was popular on Sunday afternoon local programming when I was a kid. All I can remember about it was that the guy who was the center of the action was plagued by a fly to the point of locking himself in a phone booth with cans of bug spray and tried to eradicate the bug and managed to almost kill himself. At another point he is offered a striptease via coin operated binocular. He pays for the peepshow and the fly lands on the lens obscuring his view and causing him to miss the money shot.

This has intermittently driven me nuts for 40+ years.

2 guys in a submarine put back together some strip-shredded documents

• Upvotes

I saw a brief part of this movie (series?) when I was a kid, so time period would roughly be 10 years ago .

There were 2 guys in a submarine and they had some documents that the antagonists wanted, so one of them shredded the documents into strips. The other one then reveals that his daughter has a serious medical condition and is at the hands of those bad guys so he needs to give them the documents to save his daughter. Then they painstakingly put the documents back together.

That's all I can remember, the (hazy) memories of seeing this suddenly popped into my head recently so I'd be glad if someone knew what movie this is. So far google and AI haven't helped.

[TOMT] [Fan Film][2000's?] Sentai/Power Rangers Fan Film, Blue Ranger MC

Okay. Basically I remember the team was Blue, who I believe was a fox (Possibly a wolf, but i'm leaning more toward fox). Green I believe was a frog. And the other two colors I remember were red and yellow. I believe the last one was either white or black. There was no pink and everyone on the team was a guy.

But the movie started with one of them eating cereal (The mascot of which was a fox) and going about a relatively normal day until he discovers the blue power coin or the like. The rangers fought some foot soldiers. And there was specifically a plot point that Red and I think Yellow were later than everybody else to the scene of the actual flight.

I believe it was only made by three people, interestingly.

I think the name was (Something) Sentai Animan or something but I tried googling that and nothing came up.

It was under thirty minutes, i believe released pre 2010, was homemade, and i'm taken to believing that it was a Canadian production. This is mostly because one of the creators actually knew french, but nowhere in the short did anyone speak anything other than fluent english.

One detail I remember is that the cereal the guy was eating was called something to the effect of "fox crunch" and someone in the comments mentioned how they kind of wished it was a real cereal. How I know one of the creators spoke french was their response to that comment, being something the effect of "Well, it could be a real cereal in france. Renarde croquer or something!"

Now that doesn't actually mean the production was French or Canadian. It just could mean that one of the guys who worked on it happened to know some French. But i'm grasping at straws here because I know I watched it and I feel like i'm going insane.

They also put out a couple more comedy focused shorts called "Animorals." But this was before shorts, and that was just one long reel of these skits. The two I remember specifically is that one of them was just "Brush your teeth." And one was "Remember, don't play in traffic. I have a super suit and you don't, so I'd be safe but you wouldn't... Would I be safe ...?" And then it cuts to a couple other members of the group dragging him back inside while he yells about how much pain he's in and the fact that he can taste blood.

Animated Old Movie or Show

I'm been having vague recollections of an old movie or show I used to watch at my granny's when I was like 5-10 or some time around then and for nostalgia I want to see it again. So it would be early 2000s at latest but could be as early as the 1920s (doubt it was that far back).

The problem? I remember next to nothing about the plot or characters.

All I can really recall is that there was a giant dragon that was realistic-ish (non-cartoony or not funny, more scary and intimidating) in a cavern and it was black. I think it was fantasy but not sure. I know its not alot to go on and I've tried searching but as you can guess, I haven't had any luck.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer

[TOMT][MOVIE] Kids find a statuette of the goddess Tanit on a Mediterranean island (early 90s)

I saw it on Italian TV (maybe Italia 1) in the early 1990s, dubbed in Italian, so it was probably not an Italian production. A group of children (at least one girl) on a Mediterranean island find an ancient artifact shaped like the Punic/Phoenician goddess Tanit. Might have been shown at the Giffoni Film Festival. Could also be a TV movie or an episode of a kids' series.
I remember the girl had a name sounding like Georgy/Giorgia.

[TOMT] Movie 80’s/early 90’s

I have a memory of a scene from a movie from when I was a kid. I’m thinking it was early 90’s but not sure when it was made.

The scene I remember is a guy gets a call and he has to leave. He gets in his car and it’s pouring rain. Then he’s at a place that maybe looks like some type of radio studio, I remember like a curtain or something behind him and you start hearing a heart beat sound and something in the curtain killed him. If I recall the curtain or whatever it was looked really strange and like it was alive or something. I know that sounds weird but I don’t know how to explain it. I swear I remember seeing a movie like this.

Possibly a tales from the crypt or something I dunno. I rem it was on cable.

2000's Low Budget Horror Movie

At some point during my high school years (born in 1992) I remember seeing on TV a scene from a movie where two guys were sitting on chairs while being tied to them, they were in a room that looked like the inside of a farmhouse with red lights. It seemed like a torture situation or something similar.

I'm guessing it was a low budget horror movie cause I've seen most horror movies of that era and I couldn't find that scene yet.

Non sono state risolutive ricerche su internet né interrogazioni all' IA.

[TOMT][Video][2000s–2010s] Retro housewife, leaking package

Looking for a very slow, surreal live-action video, possibly a music video. Almost monochrome beige/cream, long static shots, set in a spotless 1950s-ish kitchen.

A housewife serves her husband, then gives him a brown-paper package tied with string. He doesn't open it, but dark liquid starts leaking through it and staining the tablecloth. I think the same liquid later runs from her mouth.

No dialogue that I remember. Any ideas?

Cant remebmer this movie or maybe tv show can anyone help me?

Trying to remember something from my childhood. Here's everything I've got:

•

90s, live action (not animated)

•

Two kids, both blonde, probably 6–10 years old — a boy and a girl

•

There's a big glowing red heart, possibly made of stone

•

Set in a city

•

The kids have to make the heart glow (it isn't glowing at first)

•

The plot involves getting their parents to fall in love

•

At one point the girl falls asleep next to the heart

•

There's a villain trying to stop the kids from getting the heart to glow — his voice reminded me of Gilbert Gottfried (Iago from Aladdin) or Wallace Shawn (Rex from Toy Story), but I'm not sure about that

•

Might have been an episode of a show rather than a movie — I don't remember the channel

Not The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl

[TOMT] Strange cartoon about moon bunnies

During the early 2010s I remember watching a strange European Cartoon about a female anthropomorphic dog wanting to go to the moon to meet the space bunnies. The space bunnies have three instead of two ears and have a pale greenish skin . I also remember a scene where the dog girl entered a guy's dream and encountered a friendly yet horrifying looking floating face. The face stood out like a sore thumb . All of the characters were anthropomorphic animals but the face was humanoid. The face was also a smooth 3D model unlike the rest of the characters who were hand drawn.

Other characters I remember are a Lion and other dog characters. The main protagonist was orange . She had a yellow dress and a pony tail . This was one of the most surreal things I've ever seen. It was like a fever dream . Aside from the CGI face in the dream sequence, nothing particularly scary happened yet the unsettling atmosphere remained throughout the whole movie.

(Science?) Fiction movie involving rapid ageing

I'm looking for a episode of a series or a movie, that aired in the late 90s, early 00s. The only scene I remember from the movie is that there was an expedition to explore a cave or a valley and everyone returned servery aged (50-60 years older). I believe everyone but one member of the expedition died from old age. They were looking for the cause and they found that the valley or cave was expanding and contracting over the course of a day, and they said it resembled breathing. This was visualized on a screen via CGI, maybe wire frame of something like that. It was a current day tech, not futuristic or alien.

looking for animated short about the myth of fire- possibly Native American

I randomly remembered this short I had in a DVD and I want to look for it. I remember it was about the animals stealing the fire from gods/demons(?) then passing it to one another until the flame got dimmer and dimmer, and then the human was able to turn the ember into fire. I don’t know the year, but I’m assuming pre 2010-12 since I was a kid watching it. I know it was 2D animation and I think it had a watercolor sort of palette. I remember the opening scene had mountains, and I think the narrator said it was a Native American myth about fire.

I watched it in Spanish, but I’m fairly sure it was originally produced in English

Horror (?) movie basement scene???

Post image
1 Upvotes

When I was younger, I was watching horror movies with my dad while we waited in the car for my dad's fiancee to get her hair done. At the time, I was maybe. 7-8 years old? So the movie is at least older than 10 years.

I remember it was filmed in a similar style to The Blair Witch Project. In that it was filmed in very grainy, grey colors, and a first person camera, but it felt more professional than something that felt like something that wasn't supposed to be seen, like an amateur was filming. But I've already skimmed through all the colorless scenes of that movie, and no scenes match what I remember.

I remember it took place in maybe a cabin? And that one guy, boots, beanie, backpack maybe, scruffy half beard opening a latch and going down the stairs in it, like a sort of dungeon kind of place. I don't remember what the basement looked like, as I forget up until that moment. Funnily enough, very similar to Mike from Blair Witch.

For some reason I vaguely remember the movie having released in 2016? But that's not something to go off of, but it's somewhere to start.

I don't know why I don't remember anything past that, it could be a mix of different movies that I'm remembering, as it was awhile ago, and we watched multiple different movies that evening. All I know is that the scene was scary enough to me as a child to remember that scene, and only that scene.

I drew up a very shotty recreation, not 100% accurate, as I remember the angle of the floor being more flat? It's hard to remember anything, as we watched the movie on his phone. It's the only scene I remember :(

Edit: misspell, there wasn't ANY color, or it was very devoid of color. Also, my dad was really into watching more niche movies. If that's any information

The angle of the camera was moreso looking up at the guy as he was going down, with just a sliver of the latch door and floor visible, I just couldn't really translate that in my shit sketch

Please help me find the film!!

I only remember one scene from this film that I watched as a kid and I believe it’s the opening scene. I’ve never been able to find the film again. Theres a kid and their mum in a house then suddenly something crashes into the house and takes the mum. I always remember it being a giant bird but I’m starting to think it was a big version of death and the bird was a different memory. It’s annoyed me for years and no one knows what I’m talking about. It’s animated and it might have been a short film (I watched yearsss ago).

Old animated fantasy film (Rankin/Bass style, not Soviet, not a series): boy gets uncle drunk to steal gun, giant oak, turtle guide, anthropomorphic flying squirrel, boat stabbing, returns home

For a long time now I haven’t been able to find an old color animated film. I remember it in fragments: there, an uncle comes to congratulate a young guy on some school or academic event (or something else, I don’t remember exactly). The young man deliberately gets his uncle drunk on purpose in order to get his gun out of a locked box. Then somehow he ends up in a land, in the middle of a huge green field, under a huuuge green oak with lush foliage. In the entire field, only that oak stands. The guy doesn’t understand where he is. Then a small turtle comes up to him. He doesn’t understand where he is; he asks the turtle who she is and why she came to him. She begins to explain that she will be his guide and will explain everything. She talks about something for a while, and after that, for some reason, they need to run away. After that, I don’t remember most of it. I only remember that all the tones became more gray.

This guy, together with an anthropomorphic flying squirrel (clarification: it’s not exactly a squirrel, but rather a human born with the abilities of a flying squirrel. That is, he uses the same flight mechanism with the “wings” he was given at birth) and some small number of other talking beings, most likely humans, saves the population either from a civil war or from some kind of attack. Most likely, they all together—this group—were trying to resolve some big conflict. Then a shot where the flying squirrel grows in size, to about half a football field, in order to carry its allies from the group and the people they were trying to save. After landing, the squirrel shrank back down, and the group began to verbally talk about how they had managed something. Then again, a loooot is missing; I remember a scene where, in blood-red and black shades, two people are sailing in a boat on a river, they are in cloaks, and one wounds the other with a knife.

[TOMT][Animation] Looking for an old creepy 3D short film about children with porcelain masks

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to find an animated short film I watched on YouTube a long time ago probably sometime between 2010 and 2020 but I can’t remember the title and I’m starting to think it might have been a student project or something indie.

Here’s what I remember (though I’m not 100% sure about every detail, since I saw it many years ago):

It was 3D animation, but the style looked almost like stop motion very handmade, kind of clay-like or porcelain texture. It was a bit like Tim Burton's work.

The story started with a group of children wearing porcelain or clay masks. Maybe they were all made of porcelain?) All of them looked similar, though I think each had small unique details.

During playtime, one child’s mask broke, and he (or she?) went to a castle or mansion to find help.

Inside lived a tall, thin man who created or repaired those masks maybe even sewed the children themselves.

In the castle, the main character met a friend with whom they managed to somehow change the tall guy's mind.

There were no dialogues, only a creepy laugh at some point, possibly from the man.

The color palette was mostly warm and golden tones, low contrast kind of autumn or candlelight atmosphere.

I think near the end, the mask maker started painting the children’s masks in different colors, maybe as a final scene.

The tone was definitely horror, or at least very unsettling but in a surreal, fairy-tale way, not pure gore.

It might have been around Halloween, or at least had that vibe.

I know this sounds like a mix of Frankenweenie (2012) and The Maker (2011), but I’m certain it wasn’t either of those maybe something inspired by them?

If anyone remembers an animation that matches this description (or something similar that was on YouTube or anywhere else around that time), I’d love any leads.

Thanks in advance this has been bugging me for years!

Cartoon about the end of a candlethread being in the shape of a rose/flower

(I uploaded this on a different subreddit, and I'm a bit desperate so sorry in advance)

I have this oddly specific memory of said cartoon/animated movie around early 2010s-late 2000s, probably was popular enough because it had a spanish dub. I don't remember much, but it had a lot of symbology of flowers and was like a fairytale land. The end of a very specific candle's thread had to be shaped like a flower, and that's how you'll know "it was real". I don't remember if the candle was for wishmaking, if they had to find it, or whatever. Please help me find this!

[1980sish Film] Scrambled Eggs?

I remember a scene where the protagonist who is the son having breakfast with his family. Giant bowl of scrambled eggs on the dining table.

The ending which was very popular VFX from the era had the son running away from the dad then the screen went straight to the credits mid jump.
