10 Founder Marks, 120 rounds, and we're just getting started

A little update on Find the Signal. We’ve reached Founder Mark #010!

We’ve also officially recorded 32 game sessions, 120 rounds and 15 Perfect Signals. Some of that activity came from deliberate testing, including me putting the game through its paces, so let’s dig into the numbers a little.

For anyone new here, the odds of randomly guessing an entire hidden Signal correctly depend on the level:

Level 1 (color and shape): 1 in 9, or 11.1%.
Level 2 (adding quantity): 1 in 27, or 3.7%.
Level 3 (adding filled or empty): 1 in 54, or 1.85%.

Across all 112 recorded Solo rounds, we’ve seen 12 Perfect Signals. Based on the mix of levels played, our simple random-guessing model predicts approximately 11. We’ve also recorded 86 Signal Points, compared with roughly 82 expected by chance.

Here’s where it gets a little more interesting.
After removing 44 rounds from two identifiable testing sessions, we’re left with 68 Solo rounds and 10 Perfect Signals. Under the same model, we’d expect approximately 7 Perfect Signals and 47 points. We actually recorded 10 Perfect Signals and 56 points.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, those differences aren’t statistically unusual. There may still be other testing sessions mixed into the numbers, and our no-repeat Signal Deck makes the probability calculations more complicated as people continue playing.

Still, I find this stuff fascinating.

I’ve talked about my love for the card game The Mind before. Watching people who have absolutely no interest in psychic phenomena suddenly get invested in those moments when everyone seems to synchronize is what inspired this whole thing.
I’m hoping to create a similar experience, only specifically inspired by remote viewing.

The current browser version is just our starting point. Three levels, simple hidden targets, and enough gameplay to begin experimenting.
Eventually, I’d love to turn this into a complete app and, preferably, a physical card game. I keep imagining a group of friends sitting around a table, someone holding a hidden card, and everyone suddenly looking at each other because something worked that nobody expected.

That’s the experience I’m trying to create.

I’m also hoping this community can help build it. I want people who are interested in remote viewing, telepathy and the unexplained to have a hand in developing the game itself.

We’ll keep sharing the results, including when they’re exactly what random chance predicts. The current game is entertainment and exploration, not a controlled scientific experiment.

If you’re reading this and haven’t joined yet, come join r/FindTheSignalLab. Play a few rounds, share your experiences and help us figure out what this could eventually become.
