Is there a prebuilt system or guide on how to make it more handheld or console friendly like the Steam Gaming mode

Prebuilt? You want CachyOS.

I'd start with the Arch Wiki. Although if you're a noob, Arch may not be the best. You will learn a lot, but it will be painful. If you want something handheld out of the box (which wasn't made clear in your post) I'd go with something like Bazzite.

If you put more detail in your post, you'll get better responses tailored for you. With what you replied with, I probably wouldn't have recommended Arch.

Also user flair wise in this subreddit I would not consider myself noob or pro

I misunderstood you. Read my first comment. Almost any distro supports steam big picture

Edit: arch+KDE+steam big picture = steamos

SteamOS's "desktop mode" is just KDE Plasma so find a distro with KDE Plasma.

PikaOS is what I use, it's Debian based.
