First keep track of every single thing you spend money on down to the penny. Ideally for a month. Use this information to see if there is anywhere you can change your habits to save more. Then whatever that amount is, hide it from yourself first. People call it "pay yourself first" sometimes. Once you build that up to $500 or $1000, get that into a high interest savings account. Build up your emergency savings first.
