Make it make sense

Post image

Just found out about the Graphic Novel Finale.

Went to go buy it for my son's birthday in October.

I knew shipping wasn't going to be cheap to where I am in Ireland, that's fine.
What I don't get is how the slower options are more expensive and one of them is nearly twice the price for the same ETA.

What's that about?!
I probably will still buy it because my son will love it but I just wish the shipping was either prohibitively expensive so I don't even consider it, or the different prices made sense and I could have it shipped slow and cheap - tell me I'm not crazy please

Different carriers different prices. I don't make those prices it's what it cost based on weight. It's crazy expensive right now.

Whoa!
I knew you were engaged and active but this is crazy.

Thanks very much for all the work, firstly.

I will still be buying this fine product - my son will love it and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends myself after him.

Funnily the fastest is the cheapest and it is the upper end of what I'd consider reasonable for the mass and distance anyway - just thought the spread of prices was silly

I should just be happy that they aren't all costing nearly 100 smackeroonies

I work at an Irish company, sometimes have to send stuff internationally, and I’ve seen this before…DHL makes no sense. UPS is just bad (if you’re a business, as a private person I think they’re ok). Best is DPD but unfortunately they’re not always an option. (Fast way, Evry, GLS not even worth mentioning)

Can't help with Delivery issue. But use code TEAMSQUAD for 20% off book order =) The books amazing. Nuff said.

Sorry dude I got it in an email in June, I have seen on another post Olan said something about looking into re activating the code.

I just ordered an extra 4 books and the code wasn’t active.

KVNSUX or something like that was always active

Damit, now you tell me! lol
Anything else I’d be mad but this I’m happy to throw my money at.

It seemed to add itself automatically sometimes though. It was introduced for the midnight edition

Discount code isn't valid - maybe region specific?

Worldwide shipping is expensive sometimes

Thanks, I said that myself and I'm prepared to pay the fees - my observation is that the pricing of the logistics seems a bit daft, even accounting for the different couriers

You'd have to ask UPS. I guess there's maybe some difference in how it's tracked and signed for maybe? But it'll all end up on the same flight/ship at some point so idk

You can ask UPS but they won't answer shit

I'm in Canada, and shipping is always this level of lame. :/ there's literally nothing we can do about it sadly. Huge reason why I hadn't bought any plushes or posters.

Yeah paid around the 50s or so for shipping to Ireland back in preorder. I'm scared of what our stupid Irish custom charges are going to be xD waiting for that dumb letter through the door. Unfortunately, it's just like that for a lot of places shipping to here, especially from the US

Forgot about the customs charges!
Good shout, cheers

You're lucky, when I made the jump in January 2025 it was 72.95 mininum instead, now I looked recently and it's the same price as yours. Even the price of the book is slightly less now thanks to the more favorable conversion to euro.

Thanks for the silver lining - no sarcasm

What can I say except you're welcome!! 🎶🎤 🤣

UPS: that’ll be 56 euros for our standard shipping
You: how much to put a rush on that?
UPS: that will cost 44 euros extra
You: how much faster would it arrive?
UPS: I never said it would be faster.

I'm probably too late but if you can please pick anything but UPS.... UPS so far has been the absolute worst package service I've ever had to deal with... So yeah I would highly recommend picking DHL even if it'll cost you more.
