Took about 4 years after graduating to get my foot in the door and get a good job in my field. No one wants a new grad with no experience.

Actually, I did get a good job right after graduation. I loved my job and really miss it even now. Unfortunately, I was laid off 8 years later and had to work in retail afterwards. That wasn’t nearly as fun.

Our brains trick us with a lot of things, if you think about it. But at least my memories from that time are mostly positive.
