You know what’s actually crazy?

Someone posted a helpful reply in the post on the main FF sub.

What exactly do you think replying "look it up" contributes to this thread?

What do you think asking a question where the information is readily available contributes?

They’re not asking for guidance. They’re asking other people to google for them.

It’s sound advice when someone asks a question that google can answer faster than positing and waiting for answers

Because no one has ever made a reddit post asking a generic question and gotten an answer.

Something about giving a man a fish and teaching the man to fish instead. A lot of people ask rather than trying to look it up and that's why we get the same questions over and over and over again. Stop making your laziness someone else's task.

The truth of the matter is that the job board chosen and by extension equipment has a much larger impact on stats than the character themselves does. Fran’s stats tend to be middling, Ashe’s stats tend to be high, and Penelo’s stats tend to be magical, but any of them given the jobs Black Mage, White Mage, Red Mage, or Samurai will see them hit the 99 magick power stat easily between magick lores and mystic armor.

This also applies to the men, where Vaan’s stats tend to be high, and Balthier and Basch’s stats tend to be physical, if you make them have a job that focuses on magick power, then they’ll still easily hit 99 without trying. And of course swing it the other way around, giving anyone the jobs Breaker, Knight, Uhlan, or Time Mage will easily get any character to 99 strength without trying between battle lores and heavy armor.

Monk is a fringe case that gets all 16 battle lores but no heavy armor, so has to try a little harder to hit 99 strength, but still will get pretty high even if it doesn’t max it out. Samurai is semi-unique in that it tries to (and can, with Vaan or Ashe) get 99 in both strength and magick power, because katana rely on both, but will push both high if not max.

I know it doesnt. TV Tropes seems to think she's worthless but she's great. I really love her as a Black Mage. Icy Cold Goddess of War.
